Adirondacks Cabins at Mill Creek are five minutes to Gore Mountain. Skiing has been a big part of the Adirondack winter scene ever since the 1930's, when "ski trains" brought hundreds of enthusiasts from New York to the North Creek Ski Bowl. In those days, skiers were just hopping to escape the "Great White Way" for a great white way down.
From the N.Y. Take the NYS Thruway which is 87 N towards Albany and stay on it until EXIT 24 of the Thruway. It will come up about 5 miles after you reach Albany. At that point the road divides into 90 East and 90 West. You want to stay on 87 N. Take EXIT 24 and you will soon come to a turn and then the tolls will appear.

The cabins at Mill Creek, are a great place to stay if you are looking for rest and relaxation. This is my 3rd visit at the cabins. The cabins are equipped with a full kitchen, bathroom and a sitting area. Nights are the best, sitting outside by the fire pit, and looking at the stars, something rare to see for city people. The pool, is very clean, great for children. Dicky, the manager is amazing, he makes sure your stay is a pleasant one, and suggest places to visit in the area. I will be returning in the winter for skiing weekend.
