Unlike a vision screening or other general eye test, comprehensive eye exams evaluate the entire health of the eye. They also help the optometrist or ophthalmologist determine your unique prescription. Comprehensive eye exams should begin as an infant to ensure proper eye and vision development. Ongoing eye health examinations at regular intervals are also important as many eye diseases and vision changes can occur without warning signs.
Eyes are the organs of vision. Through a complex process, they detect and focus light to create images. Vision begins when light rays are reflected off of an object and enters the eye through the cornea and then pupil. It then passes through the crystalline lens which refracts light to be focused on the retina.

I had my new patient a few weeks ago and I cannot say enough good things about the staff at Sparta Optometry. Dr did an incredibly thorough exam, answered all of my questions, and prescribed some great steps for my dry eye issue. The staff were very kind and helpful! Ky was a fantastic help at picking out my frames, and ensuring my lenses would be a perfect fit. Sarah was very knowledgeable about contacts, and I am feel very at home at the practice! I cannot say enough good things! 5 very bright stars!

I was infected with COVID-19 by the unmasked staff. Later, I was told by a staff member that the optometrist was out with COVID at the time of my appointment; still, the three staff members in the office, at least two who I was told tested positive for the virus, neglected to wear masks. I wore a mask but had to lower it while being fitted for glasses and was nose-to-nose with an infected, maskless staff member. When asked why the staff were maskless, I was told, “Masks are not required.” That could be true, unless one wishes to be considered part of the local health-care community; I have

Highly recommend! Best price around for exams! The doctor was awesome, he was detailed & patient! Then when I was picking out glasses they didn't push the expensive stuff, instead helped pick the fit! When the Covid shut-down hit he gave me extra samples contacts until I could order them! Everyone was helpful & nice!

I tried to switch my new patient appointment with my husband and they couldn't do it. Their system wouldn't allow a switch. It made no sense and their system has lack of patient care that it cannot meet customers changes. We were exactly the same patient type - new patient, same insurance. I guess I am glad I found out now before an urgent issue happened.

DO NOT GO HERE, I went here for my son, his glasses are to big for him and they are not changing them out just because the help in the office will not help us out, she is useless for getting glasses from. To the point where Im calling in the office with my insurance. To let them know, they are trying to getting money from me, my son had a eye infection and he ordered a eye drop that was $100plus and my insurance would not cover it, then he let me know about over a c. Drop that was $11. So, they are trying to take from insurance and who ever goes there. Now Im wondering if my son even needs glasses
