In the beginning of 2017, Jenn Shin Studios started off in a 100 square foot studio suite. Six months later, we relocated to a larger 200 square foot space and stayed there for about 2 years. Now, our most recent (and hopefully, last) expansion landed us in our new spacious 2,500 square foot salon space in the heart of Rockville, MD-right on Rockville Pike! Jenn's hope was to have a space to grow INTO rather than grow OUT of.
We have come a long way but stay tuned; we still have a long way to go. We pride ourselves in our ability to be completely transparent and direct with our clientele- your hair journey is our hair journey. We will always continue to strive in bringing your hair goals to life and we will always be realistic with you.

Let me start off by saying that Jenn is so amazing. I was able to finally get tape in extensions by bella mi hair which was recommended by her & my hair is EVERYTHING. I can wash it, style it, wear it up everything. She matched my hair perfectly and her assistants always do the best blow outs everrrr. I haven’t done a bright or light color from her yet but seeing her clients leave the salon they look so amazing!!

I don't know why it's taken me so long to write a proper review, but I've been going to get my hair done by Jenn for a couple years now. I've gone from a subtle balayage to global blonding to full highlights/babylights and let me tell you I have loved the results every single time!
Service: Jenn (and her whole team) are always super friendly and able to answer any questions I may have. Bleaching hair can be a very time consuming process and I've had a couple 7-8 hour sessions that have run on past closing hours, but Jenn and her team (shoutout to Christie :^)) always stay late without complaint

Jenn Shin and her team are the absolute best! They’re incredibly knowledgeable about hair and are able to safely diagnose and work on even the most damaged hair. She gives personalized recommendations based on my lifestyle, job, and hair condition. Customer service is top notch. I’m really big on that kind of thing. Studio is really cute, clean, and Instagrammable.

I've been going to Jenn for a few years and she and her entire team are amazing. Jenn is patient and takes her time with each client. I've never loved my hair until I started seeing Jenn and I always leave thrilled with my haircut and her team has taught me many styling tricks (and to never use cheap shampoo). Eriq has cut both my daughters' hair as well. They have done great with COVID protocols and it's so awesome to watch the salon grow and expand!

Jessica was my hair stylist and let me tell you, I was so afraid of another stylist ruining my hair but Jessica did such an amazing job. She really did that work !! I am so happy on how my hair came out. Amazing work no frying my hair, always positive and clean and was also considerate that I was tender- headed. I recommend jess to everyone. I cannot stress this enough. Love her !!!

I have been going to Jenn for a few years now and I have gone through all sorts of hair transformations with her! Jenn and her team seriously work magic on my hair. I always leave the salon feeling like a million dollars. They are extremely professional and the best stylists in the DMV in my opinion!

I’m probably the oldest, least hip customer of this cool salon of very talented stylists but I do not care because at my age, I understand that to get my asian hair to do what I want, I must go to the best. I started my hair journey with Jenn before she started her own salon and I have stayed because of the results. I follow her directions for hair care (except for the hot water) but I also understand the limitations of how long toner can last and what the fade out will be because Jenn has been clear about it all along. It’s an investment of time and money and well worth it for me while I still

Jenn always slays my hair. There’s a reason I always go back to her regardless of where I move. She’s the one stylist that actually cares that you’re happy with your hair before you leave, plus she’s a perfectionist as well. I will travel 6+ hours just to get my hair done by Jenn, it is not worth finding another stylist that can do my hair the way she does. Jenn and her team are the best out there. Forever loyal!
