Quake City Metal was founded in 2008 and we are located in Oakland, CA. We've spent over 18 years fabricating and installing a wide variety of art and architectural projects across the Bay Area and beyond. From hotel balcony railings on Maui to private residences in Pacific Heights, our work encompasses multi-million dollar commercial high rises, local neighborhood homes, and everything in between.

I had an urgent need to have some security bars installed on my client's home. Jon and his team were such a pleasure to have on this project. The turnaround time was remarkably fast - despite my timing request being very close to unrealistic, and the finished product was so beautiful and complementary to the home, the owners didn't even notice they had been installed when they returned from their trip.
Flawless quality, super professional communication, and just generally awesome.

Jon is incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and skilled. I ordered a spiral staircase from Paragon Stairs (avoid at all costs); they kept shipping me pieces from Pennsylvania that did not fit together. After the third replacement piece did not work, I called Jon. He came out the next day and--within an hour--fixed an issue that the stair manufacturer and my original contractor were unable to fix for TWO MONTHS. Definitely wish I had hired him to do the stairs in the first place!

The plant stand he made for me is very high quality, and I love his attention to detail and drive to create things that will last for a long time. I'm so happy there is a fabricator in Oakland that cares about listening closely to his clients and ensuring the final outcome is exactly what they want! He brings so much experience and ability to his craft. I look forward to working with him on bigger railing projects in the future.

My experience with him is no exception. He helped me take my home's pre-built floating stairs to the next level and custom-built guardrails that matched the existing home.
Jon and team can make anything you ask them to and I would trust him to take on the bigger projects as well.
