I have a heart for people and their stories. When I was a little girl, I found myself interested in helping others and relieving suffering. I believe that is what drew me to medicine. Psychiatry is the branch of medicine focused on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental, emotional and behavioral disorders. A psychiatrist is a medical doctor (an M.D. or D.O.) who specializes in mental health, including substance use disorders. Meaning I am qualified to assess both the mental and physical aspects of psychological problems.
I am in Network with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO Plans and all out of state BCBS PPO plans. I also see Bluecard members from Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans based out of state. With other insurance companies I am considered out of network, meaning you will be responsible for the cost of service and I will provide you with information to submit for out of network reimbursement.
