Want a unique, affordable, fun and special birthday party? We offer martial arts birthday parties to our Jang Star members. The birthday boy/girl will show off his/her martial arts skills to all of his/her friends and all party guests. All friends and guests will participate in games and martial arts lessons.
Jang Star Taekwondo School provides an eclectic range of activities to keep your children engaged in our summer camp. We provide educational programs, teach martial arts culture (read, write and speak the Korean language), martial arts lessons, have recreational activities, arts & crafts and agility training.
Be part of the elite, be part of the best. Our demonstration teams meet regularly to practice for upcoming events, tournaments, and exhibitions. Practice makes perfect and being on the demo team puts you on the limelight. Demo Teams promote camaraderie, good showmanship, and confidence. Please inquire with our Staff to learn more.

My daughter has been attending classes for over a year now and it has been nothing but a pleasure. This is a great school for teaching not only discipline and respect but also for keeping the kids healthy and fit. Grandmaster Jang and Master Heesoo have been great and they do an amazing job with the kids as well as with the adults.

Joining Jang Star Taekwondo School was one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life! I have learned so much and really feel like a part of a family. As a performer, the energy I feel after leaving a class is similar to when I complete a performance--it is rejuvenating and life giving. I highly recommend this school to all--it's the real deal. Grandmaster Jang, Master Heesoo and all of the instructors are professional, compassionate, welcoming and VERY knowledgable. You will not get a better martial arts education than at Jang Star! If I could give them 5,000 stars I would!

Our daughter Mila joined Jang Star in July and it was the best decision we have made. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a safe and fun way to teach your kids discipline, confidence, strength and self defense in a fun and safe environment.
The teachers are all so friendly and respectful and my daughter even talks about them at home.

Since our son Kayume Hamid Jr. was a baby we always wanted him to go to Jang Star Taekwondo School. We're so happy he is going to Jang Star Taekwondo . The staff are so friendly and professional . The school is very clean and organized. Grandmaster Jang is a great teacher . We love the school and look forward to go every Saturday morning with our son . One of the best decisions was to join the school along with my daughter. We learned a lot. Environment is very good, everyone is friendly. Jang Star Taekwondo is an amazing experience. I am in the Adult class and the environment is welcoming, exciting, and friendly. Grandmaster Jang and Master Heesoo are extremely nice and very professional. They are quite knowledgeable in Taekwondo and make learning fun, interactive and easy to understand. I highly recommend anyone who wants to learn from a great martial arts school, to try and join for great results and a great experience; plus everyone in the class is also really funny, supportive and friendly to all new faces. 5/5 recommend!

We haven’t been at Jang Star for very long but it has already made quite the impression! Our 4 year old son has so much fun with the classes and has learned so much, and even though we started during COVID - we’ve always felt comfortable with the cleanliness and many protocols in place. Grand Master Jang and Master HeeSoo are fantastic teachers and are clearly passionate about teaching martial arts. So glad we came here. We’ve already recommended some friends!

Great place for children to learn how to follow directions, discipline, and respect. Grandmaster Jang and Master Heesoo were very patient with my son and he seems to not only be having fun but also learning a bit of structure.
We enrolled our son in the midst of the pandemic. The school is vigilant about taking precautions and sanitizing hands before, during, and after classes. Everyone keeps their masks on for the entire time.

We recently moved to the heights area and heard great things about Jang Star Taekwondo school. Also, when passing by it we saw how the kids were orderly when getting into the school. We decided to enroll our daughter ( 5 years old) and sent an introduction email. We got a response the same day for a trial class which is great because it allows us to see how the class is structured and also to find out 1st hand if she likes it. #1 Martial Arts school in Hudson County. Have seen so many martial arts schools nearby and none can compare. I have been a student for 20+ years. I have blossomed into a young lady who can defend myself and have confidence from any situations. I learned discipline, respect, self defense, self control and so much more. I highly recommend Jang Star TaeKwonDo School in Jersey City, NJ. When I enrolled my son, he was very introverted, but within weeks of being at Jang Star, he quickly started to come out of his shell. Now he's a brown belt. Soon closing in to getting his black belt before you know it. The instructors are very knowledgeable in their craft. The Grandmaster is the most humble, most sincere and sweetest Grandmaster you will ever know. His knowledge of TaeKwonDo is beyond words. His daughter, who is also a master at Jang star is also the sweetest to deal with. I love her like my own daughter. I
