Dr. McGown has been serving the Greater Houston Community in the capacity of a Pediatric Dentist for over 42 years. Below is a brief Biography of Dr. Gerald McGown. He is also actively involved in community service through Grace Presbyterian Church in the Greater Houston area. He enjoys golfing and traveling - the travel trips with his wife are special when they entail meeting up with their 13 grand children!
Dr. Yar Khan completed his dental education in 1997. He practiced dentisrty for 6 years before deciding to persue advanced education in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Yar Khan completed Advanced Education in Hospital Dentistry from Truman Medical Centre at Kansas City, MO in 2004. He is board certified and has been an invited speaker at several International and National meetings.
She attended Houston Baptist University and received her DDS from the University Of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston. She is very involved in continuing education to stay up-to-date on current topics, trends, and issues in dentistry. Her patients can be assured that she will continue to advance her education to provide the most comprehensive care to her patients.
K. Thomas Trigger was born and raised in Central Illinois. He graduated from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 1971. After graduation he spent two years in the U.S. Navy serving as a general dentist after which he and his wife Joyce moved to Houston where he opened his private practice.

The absolute worse place you can take your child!! Did not follow the plan for my child who has special needs. Charged me and filled claims to insurance that weren’t done. They told me the would refund me, that never happened! Now they keep calling me to make appointments, I explained to the same person every single time that I want nothing to do with them, I just want our money back. My son is completely traumatized and its heartbreaking that a place that claims to help kids like him ruined his experience.

My kids have been with Kidzone Dental since 2006. Both my kids and I liked it, literally across street of our house, kind dentist, staffs and environment, but not anymore, I had absolutely bad experience on today's visit.

I called in yesterday to inform them we are having new insurance and my daughter and I dropped our insurance card around 2:00pm to the front desk and she scanned it. I asked her to check my insurance before our appointment please. Also I told her to change my appointment to 4:30pm, I repeated myself 3 times. Both

The first diagnostic visit was both warm and inviting. My 6 year old son felt comfortable and understood he needed a good amount of work done. The dentist quoted us at $1100 out of pocket for 5 cavities and an extraction because they pushed sedation, nitrous and doing all the work in one sitting (and yes we have insurance through Cigna). Thank you to Dr. Yar Khan and his team for serving us with compassion and efficiency. My 2.5 year old had a toothache which ended up needing a crown (as well as a few fillings in other teeth!) and I was beside myself as this was the first major "medical" issue my daughter has had. His team was very kind to me and helped me understand what was happening. I am very grateful to have had this work done for my daughter so that she now understands the importance of brushing her teeth! Excellent place. I bought my son with special needs in. We got the appointment on same day and the work was done the next day. Doctor khan and London(the technologist)absolutely the best pediatric dentists. They had my son calm and got the job done. Very affordable pricing. Today I bought my girls in for their cleaning and work up too. Every single person I came across was very nice 👌

Dr.Nina has been taking care of me and my son in the past year and my experience with her is nothing but excellent. Dr. Nina is such a through and knowledge dentist and really cares about her patient. Due to my recent change of dental insurance, I wouldn't be able to see her anymore, i had to see a different dentist at another clinic, which turned out to be horrible because he was money driven and tried to up charge me.
I decided to stick with Dr. Nina as an uninsured patient this year. their price is much more affordable and Dr. Nina did a good job to my tooth as always. And did I mention

I arrived as a short notice patient. My 3yr daughter skipped a step and fell on her face. 😞 we were greeted with a warm calm energy. Once we went to the back the dentist were very compassinate and right away told me that she will need an extraction, they explained the x rays to me. I was in the loop the whole time. The extraction process started and they didnt close the door!! I was even more relief and trusted them completely. Im so grateful for DDS Yar Khan 🙏 and all the staff there. They were very gentle with my daughter.

This business has cost me tons on money on repairing the botched work that I had done by one of their dentists.
A dentist glued crowns on top of a partial bone and some gums which caused tension and infections of my gums on two teeth etc.. It has taken a long time to find someone qualified to fix the issues I was billed for my but never got done (they billed me to correct the work that they messed up).
I filed complaints with my insurance and the dental board because I'm sure what's happened to me has happened to others, but I was never reimbursed for the services I never received

Dr. Khan is really good with kids. Coming into my son's first dentist visit ever, he explained to me how much work I need to put into my sons diet to prevent better oral hygiene. My son needed a lot of dental work and made my son feel very comfortable during the procedure. He woke up in the middle of everything and stopped the middle of service so that I was able to calm him down. Then started again once he was relaxed. I'm so happy that I was referred to him. And would refer him to anyone else that needs dental work. My son's teeth looks beautiful due to dr. Khan. He isn't

DO NOT COME HERE. They play around with your money and give you a sorry apology each time. I have been waiting for a refund for over a month and a half now for a surgery that I had in MARCH. It is now June. Every time I speak to them they give excuses. Toni, the financial manager, is a terrible manager who has lied to me continuously. Do not trust this office by any means necessary. They are a sorry company and need to learn what customer service is.

Today, I received a phone call from one of the office personnel from Kidzone. They were accusing me of cashing a check from my insurance company that was meant for them. First of all, I have never heard of an insurance company sending me the consumer a check to give to the dentist! Who and why would they do that. Second of all, the line drop while I was talking to them.
A minute or so later, Toni, the accounts manager leaves a very rude message on my voicemail. Yet again accusing us of not giving them a check for the insurance. She also threatens me that they will send it to a debt collections

My boyfriend needed significant dental work done. Kid Zone was AMAZING. Contrary to its name, Kid Zone is definitely also for adults. I can't express enough just how wonderful the staff is. Our dentist was extremely patient and accommodating. I would especially like to thank Celia, who went out of her way to make our experience exceptional. Five hours of treatment (and a dash of anesthesia later) his smile is in the best shape of his life! We were referred to Kid Zone by our friend Brittany De Orbegoso, and we will certainly pass on that recommendation.
