Klara and her team brilliantly orchestrated the near simultaneous sale of my La Costa home and purchase of our new home in Tierrasanta late in 2020. The housing market was very hot at that time and therefore it was crucial to act fast on both transactions. On the sale side, the home was beautifully staged (frankly, I hardly recognized the interior), and offers came in within 24hrs of the listing, and the quick sale price was above our expectations. I would be very cautious if Klara is the listing agent of a home you are interested in or even if you are considering working with her. In my experience, with Klara being the listing agent of the house we wanted to purchase, I found she lacks professionalism, integrity, and ownership of her mistakes. She is the reason why purchasing a house can be a dirty game. Perhaps that is actually a testimony as why you would want her as your selling agent. But hear me out.

Being a first time home seller, we had absolutely no idea how much work and stress it was to go through that process. Thankfully, Klara and Tom made the entire process very pleasant. We used partnered with Klara to buy our first house back in 2010 and had a great experience. The purchase was complicated with escrow issues (none of which were her fault) and she was awesome. Every day presented new challenges and she worked with us through all the details, patiently and professionally.
When we decided to move on to a new home this year, it was a no-brainer. It took a us a while to find the right house (we had specific needs), but once we did, she was again, great to work with. She advised us well, and was able to sell our old house in less than 72 hours at full asking price

We have lived in our home for 23 years. We raised our children here from kindergarten thru college. Klara lived in our neighborhood too. Throughout the years, Klara would stop by our home, marketing her business, several times a year offering a Padre's schedule & Charger's schedule, an American flag for July 4th was placed on each and every front yard and Halloween goodies! Klara made her presence in a very kind way, never over-selling herself. Always genuine and caring. We purchased Klara's former home in New Villanitas, Encinitas, in 2003. The fireplace was defective. She claimed, as a homeowner and agent, that she knew nothing of the defect. All of our neighbors later told us she knew of the problem. Fortunately, our home inspector caught the problem and we were rebated $12K at the close of escrow to fix the problem. She promised, in front of us and our agent, to "notify all her future clients of the fireplace defect" in our neighborhood. Her involvement in later neighborhood sales failed to disclose this important defect. Her omission of this

We worked with Klara for the sale of our home. Unfortunately we did not have a good experience. We felt that at the end the sale she acted very unprofessionally. We were moving out of state . . . .so be forewarned your realtor might hightail it out of there once the sale contract is signed.
Also we did NOT get the maximum price for our home and felt that we were convinced into accepting a lower price. Of course, it is our fault because at the end of the day the agent takes no responsibility, they are only a guide. . .that is the position she will take.
