Wow. We hired Melo & sons for the knock-down service. Started with Joanne who was very friendly and answered all my questions. Ended with our large couch in our desired location, which we didn't think could ever happen. Both techs were polite/friendly/professional and offered great advice for conditioning and maintaining our leather couch. They even removed and reattached a door to ensure the couch got through. And to top it all off, the entire process took about an hour. Thanks!!!

Old Boston-area homes have a lot of charm, but present a lot of challenges when it comes to getting large furniture up tight staircases and through small doors. Melo & Sons did an outstanding job disassembling, delivering, and re-assembling a large sofa to our second floor condo. I'd highly recommend their "Knock Down" service to anyone who needs it -- their work is well priced and absolutely top notch.

Highly recommend! First Melo employee did a great job a year ago disassembling the sofa and collecting it in our living space. Second this company gave me a year guarantee for the sofa from Westelm, while Westelm didn’t give any. I called recently almost at 1 year mark and asked to fix couple of things and they did an amazing job.

We purchased a couch that was just a tad too large to fit through the doorway to our living room. I reached out and Joanne was so quick to respond and such a pleasure to work with. She reassured me that they could solve the problem I was having. Mike and George came by today and took just 1 hour to disassemble and reassemble the couch in it's rightful place. I couldn't be happier!!! So professional and nice to work with!

This company was so professional and helped me from day 1 getting my dream couch that wouldn't fit through the door otherwise. Can't say enough good things about them. Every time i had a question, Joanne was more than happy to help me with my neediness! This was an expensive power reclining sofa and they had no issue with it, looks amazing, and everything works just like it never came apart in pieces. Thank you so much!

This has been the worst experience with a service provider ever! I chose this company because of yelp reviews and recommendations from a parent group.
Two men arrive to disassemble my couch. After doubting my couch is from Boston Interiors(it is!) they begin working. I live in a two family house, second floor. They are down by the garage(right below my bedroom, I can hear everything they're doing and saying). Not long after, I hear struggling in my front entryway. They are trying to get the couch upstairs, forcefully! Ummm....didn't I pay you so this didn't have to happen?!?! They can't get it

Melo & Sons was a life (couch) saver! We had already purchased the couch and our incredibly small, narrow, Boston stairs were not allowing it up under any circumstances! That was when Melo & Sons saved the day! They were really friendly and upfront, the price was more than reasonable considering we just paid a decent amount for the couch and REALLY needed it in the house.
Also, they picked it up from where we bought it because we had to send it back to the furniture store when it was first delivered (attempted). That was so great of them because I don't know where we would have left

Long story short, our dreams were bigger than our doorways.
After a few hours of sweating and swearing we accepted defeat, dropped our new couch in the yard and examined the return policy.
Luckily my wife found Melo and Sons upholstery and we left a message at 9pm. At 8am the next morning they returned our call and by noon there were two furniture experts with 30yrs experience at our house to solve our problem.
The workers were extremely nice and professional. In very little time, they had the couch apart,

Melo & Sons helped out us big time when we couldn't get our couch up to a second floor apartment. They had it taken apart and up the stairs and put back together within an hour.
Later on when the springs of the couch came unclipped, we called them again for help. They came out and fixed it quickly and didn't charge us anything for it, considered it a follow up to our earlier business. We really appreciated that.
My only complaint about these guys is they are so one of a kind that they are incredibly busy and it took us over a month to get them to come out to our house and look

I spent Wednesday night, along with a few other people, trying to get my new couch into the house. We gave it almost 2 hours, with the heat still in the 80s and the mosquitoes feasting on us. I got the couch at Jordan's in Avon in their clearance center. It had scuffs on one side from where someone else obviously tried to get this fairly long couch into their own house, but failed, just as I had. Those scuffs saved me almost $600 off the leather couch, but that's not much consolation when the couch is left on the deck under plastic and tarps.

Same couches, same situation, same great service.
After having Melo and Sons take our couches apart to move into our last condo, we needed them to take them apart again to move them out and into our new house!
They did a wonderful job once again.
Remind me never to buy huge couches again... while they are fantastic, I don't want to singlehandedly keep Melo and Sons in business!
