Older small town motel, but exceptionally clean and well taken care of. Rooms have more space than some 1st class chain hotels, and definitely cozier. On site owner that goes out of their way to accommodate at any hour, and prices are more than reasonable. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when traveling in the area. A rare treat when when out on the road.

We were traveling West between Des Moines and Lincoln, and needed a place to stay. The Motel 6 on an earlier exit was all booked up. It was about 1:30 in the morning and my wife was starting to get antsy about driving in the middle of the night. There was a small sign with showing Midtown Motel with the exit. When we took the exit there was another sign with an arrow saying 2 miles. This place was definitely off the beaten path. We usually try and stay at La Quinta or Marriotts. Due to the time of the morning I was willing to stay just about anywhere. We paid $52.50 and the room was ok. The owner

Shabby chic? Maybe without the chic? Which is completely compensated by the wonderful proprietor "Marlene". She greeted us so warmly when we arrived late at night it was like showing up at your favorite Aunt's house. The room was not fancy or perfect, but it was clean, large, and had a huge TV. More importantly it was quiet and dark and we slept well. If you want a low cost, safe, quiet spot to stay just far enough off 80 and If you want to meet a lovely Christian Egyptian woman who is so happy to be in the US and will pray for you, whether you are a believer yourself, then this

Hello... I don't normally (or ever have) write reviews about hotels (or anything for that matter), however the service I received at this place called for a few words. We were passing by on our honeymoon (cross country road trip through the U.S.) and stayed at this motel. Firstly, I have to say that the owner was very nice and welcoming; room was simple and had the basic necessities. The reason we (my wife and I) give this motel a 1 star is due to the ignorant treatment we received from the owner (woman who takes care of visitors - who also happens to be the owner). She offered a laundry

My boyfriend and I were recently driving across the country and googled places to stay near i80 in Iowa. The midtown motel was close, cheap, and had enough of what we needed at midnight to get a few hours sleep before getting back on the road. The owner was very nice and helped us quickly. She walked us to our room, turned on our AC and put a Childrens channel on tv for our son. We unloaded the car when our boy started having an snags attack. We had been there maybe 20 minutes. My boyfriend went to give her back the key, that we had to leave, and she instantly and without question have us a full

When traveling across the country along side a blizzard, it's always nice to have a local make a recommendation when you have to pull off the road suddenly and find a place to wait out the weather....especially when you're in the middle of nowhere in Iowa.
We stopped at the gas station/ A&W and were told to go to the Mid-Town Motel, that it was a nice place, and that there's great food at the bowling Alley right beside it.
We got there, were welcomed and given a very large room with 3 beds for $73.49 (inc tax). Pets welcomed, no extra pet fee. We got up to our room and though
