During your consultation, you will meet with a member of our quilting team to choose thread, batting, and quilt design. Not local? We offer mail order longarm quilting services. That is how The Sewing Escape started. As an elementary school teacher, wife, and mother to two children, I always dreamt of having a quiet place to express the creative side that was just mine and I always longed for a quilt - but I had never sewn anything before. My passion soon sparked a dream: what if I created a space for other sewing enthusiasts to lounge?
If your quilt top is ready for longarm services The Sewing Escape can accommodate the needs of any computerized edge-to-edge (E2E) or custom quilt design. Our two Innova Longarm machines feature AutoPilot and a Lightening Digital Stitch Regulator, which allows for efficiency and incredible accuracy.
Do you have a pieced top that needs longarm services? We are excited to help you. A Sewing Escape team member will be available to assist you. Together, we will discuss thread choice and batting type, select a digital design from the library, build out a digital sample of your quilt top, and review any additional services you may require.
Preorder means the product is not currently in stock or released by the manufacturer and you have the option to order the product in advance to secure it. We require payment to reserve by paying for the item up front before The Sewing Escape has received the item in the studio. Each collection or item available for preorder will have its own specific estimated arrival date to the studio.

I had ordered a panel from the Sewing Escape a couple months ago, and it had been back ordered (as so many things are due to COVID-19). The Sewing Escape called me numerous times to let me know the status of my order, even when I was waiting for shipment. It was a nice touch to just let me know they were thinking of me and although my order was in hiatus, they were letting me know as they received updates from the manufacturer. I don’t know if I’ll have the opportunity to visit my family in the OC this holiday (again - COVID), but as soon as I am back in California, I am going to visit the

This is my favorite local quilt shop! It's small and full of friendly, helpful quilters. Susan offers several project and technique based classes each month, sewing machine rentals, and long arm quilting service. Susan is full of good energy and a willing spirit to help new and experienced quilters. Sandy and Zina are two wonderful free motion teachers and are always willing to help. Julie the from receptionist and cashier is a gem as well. This is one great little shop all the way around!

This is my favorite quilt shop! You have to go there and prepare to be amazed, Susan, the owner is the BEST!! What ever you need, quilt related, you'll find (or Susan will get it for you). I've had many of my quilts longarm quilted by Susan and they turned out fabulous! I love the classes, fabric selection, quilting advice and bringing in my sewing machine to spend a day working on my next quilt. You meet the nicest people here!
