Dr. Rasansky is a board-certified Ophthalmologist with over 10 years' experience treating medical and surgical diseases of the eye.
At the Switch Eye Center, a wide variety of surgical procedures are available to patients. During an eye exam, our ophthalmologists will look to ensure your eyes are in optimum health. A full eye exam requires our patients' pupils to be dilated with eye drops so Dr. Switch and Dr. Rasansky can properly evaluate the entire eye.

Cataract surgery today is different in many ways from the cataract surgery 30 years ago. Technological advances in the tools and calculations available have allowed highly specialized surgeons to perform new procedures with much more precise outcomes, less invasive techniques and far shorter recovery times.

Most standard artificial lens implants only correct for one focal point and do not restore your ability to see both near and far. When we are younger, our natural lens allows us to accommodate and focus on close object and far objects.

At Switch Eye Center, we understand that blurry and compromised vision can be scary for our patients. As we age, our eyes change. By age 60, many of our patients experience cataracts to some degree which is why we recommend learning cataract basics before visiting our office.

They treated this new patient like family. Tina especially went way above and beyond to help redeem a situation from my mistake in leaving my phone in my Uber. (By the time my appointment was over my phone was back and my driver waiting to take me home!) And the Doctor and team were awesome as well. So glad I found them.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Rasansky and his Staff at Switch Eye Center. I had Cataract Surgery on both of my eyes late last year and was so comfortable with the whole process, even with Covid Protocol in place. I was amazed at the results and the care they give you from the time you walk in and have a consultation, to the last follow up visit. My husband just got done with the whole process on both of his eyes as well, and again, he is so amazed at the results. We appreciate the whole staff there, especially Dr. Rasansky. We recommend them (and have already) to anyone who is in need

I recently had cataract surgery performed on both of my eyes by Dr Jerome Switch, and now have regained 20/20 vision in both eyes! I am totally pleased with the expertise and professionalism exhibited by Dr Switch and the entire staff at Switch Eye Center. I started seeing Dr Switch five years ago because I was having problems with my eyes and I couldn’t get a diagnosis from my prior doctor. Well, he listened and I received a diagnosis that he is treating and monitoring. Dr Switch spent the time to educate me and I trust his clinical judgment. Plus he is a nice person and easy to talk to. His office staff are pleasant and the office runs very efficiently - they never keep you waiting. Highly recommend.

My mom is a beautiful, healthy and vibrant 80 years old. She was in desperate need of cataract surgery but was fearful, like many are. Dr. Rasansky took the time to thoroughly explain details of the surgery, he addressed and made special accommodations to ease her fears and his follow-up care was thorough and comforting. The cataract surgery in both eyes was a complete success!! My mom no longer needs her glasses and she is seeing a whole new bright and colorful world! Dr. Rasansky, his office staff and the surgical staff at Henry Ford Woodhaven were absolutely incredible from beginning to end

I have been a patient of Dr. Switch close to 30 years and there is no one I trust more for eye or medical advice than him. My vision was extremely poor corrected for years with thick glasses, Doc did my laser eye corrective surgery when he felt the technology was a save and affordable solution for ME. Dr. Switch is the definition of trusted and honest doctor and a great person. I'm forever grateful to him for the experience of near perfect vision without glasses.

Dr. Switch and the entire staff of Switch Eye Center are the absolute Best of the Best. From the moment you arrive you are taken care of. (Wish all medical offices ran this well.) The staff listens to you and thoroughly examines issues you may be experiencing. They provide a comprehensive evaluation and explain everything to you ensuring you understand. We feel so fortunate to have the best professionals available, anywhere, at Switch Eye Center. The professionalism, courtesy and expertise are top notch. We wouldn't trust our eyes to anyone else. My husband's cataract surgery was a breeze and so successful. Wanted to add a review for Dr Switch and his colleague Dr Rasansky. Recently had cataract surgery by Dr Switch. Today I had my 4 week post op check. I'm super happy to report my vision is 20:20! No glasses for reading or distance required. I cannot tell you how happy I am. Dr Switch snd his entire staff are phenomenal. They make you feel like family from the moment you make your first call to the office. Everyone at the office is super kind, courteous and knowledgeable. Rest assured you will not be rushed.
