National Bias Fabric

Based in Cleveland, the National Bias Fabric Company has been family-owned and operated since 1902. Our team takes great pride in providing quality craftsmanship and delivering your product on time. Cleveland has a rich history in garment manufacturing. In the early 1900's the garment industry in Cleveland was the second largest industry in Ohio, and only trailed New York and Chicago.

Bias cutting takes advantage of the weave of the fabric by cutting at a 45 degree angle to the straight length of the grain. When cut in this direction your fabric will have a great deal of stretch and give, and this produces a cut that doesn't fray easily. We have years of experience converting fabrics for diverse apparel, fashion, and general industries.

Our services include raw edge and pre-folded bias made from a full range of colors in 96/56 poly cotton. We also carry a variety of athletic colors in durable 200 denier and 400 denier nylon. Acetate taffeta, polyester taffeta, and nylon taffeta are also available in various colors. Bias Woven Nomex is offered for flame retardant and safety requirements.

For many years, NBF has created chest pieces for men's and women's tailored clothing and uniforms. Fabrics needed to provide top-quality design and function are available at National Bias and come in many styles. Many different styles of fabrics are available in two button, three button, and double breasted designs.

National Bias Fabric Co. has uniquely designed equipment that can sew drapery up to 80 feet in length. Our highly experienced on-site staff deliver custom, high quality craftsmanship in every project that comes our way. We can make a variety of curtains from a large theater to a smaller venue such as a church or school.
