With events throughout the year, boaters and non-boaters alike can find fun activities at Edgewood Yacht Club. With new docks, an expanded social program and a reinvigorated culinary experience, it's a great time to be a member. We are proudly partnered with Edgewood Sailing School, making our club a great place to learn how to sail for kids and adults alike.
Perched at the head of Narragansett Bay, Edgewood has a marina with boat slips/docks and moorings avialable for its members.

Sailing is a term often described through song, verse and pictures. At EYC, sailing is more than the pastime one might think it is - it is a foundational element to our success as a Yacht Club. Whether it be recreational, competitive or a learning experience at the Edgewood Sailing School, sailing is a year round activity for our members.
New in 2020: Significant Marina upgrades with new docks, new electrical connections brought throughout the marina, new decking, new pedestals, and a campus-wide wifi system. The marina at Edgewood Yacht Club accommodates both sail and power boats in 55 slips ranging from 26ft to 50ft in length. Slips are equipped with both 20 and 30 amp electrical service and fresh water access.
Sailing a boat calls for quick action, a blending of feeling with the wind and water as well as with the very heart and soul of the boat itself. Sailing teaches alertness and courage, and gives in return a joyousness and peace that but few sports afford. We are racing this summer - Sunday Sunfish, Tuesday PHRF, and Wednesday Beetle Cat.
In 2017 the EYC & RIYC race committees got together to see if we could get some friendly competition going on the upper bay. We added four races on Thursdays with both clubs competing together. Each club "hosts" 2 of the 4 races with race committees from each yacht club sharing the responsibilities of running the races throughout the season.
Depending on weather conditions, the Race Committee will start up to 6 races each race day, starting promptly at 5:00 pm, with no race starting after 7:45pm. There will be one scored series for all the races. Sunfish races are open to all full, dry sail, and junior members of Edgewood Yacht Club. Even if you aren't a Sunfish sailor, come on down to the club to watch the races and cheer on your favorite sailor!

People are really friendly. This place will be much nicer when they finally finish building the new clubhouse, which is replacing the beautiful historical one that burned down several years ago. It is a little expensive right now for what they offer, but hopefully the new building will be finished before the end of this season!
