Located in Winthrop, Maine, off of Route 202 and a stones' throw from Cobbossee Lake. Cobbossee Motel is a 10 minute drive to downtown Augusta and Turnpike Mall. Shops in Winthrop are only a 5 minute drive with local farm stands and antique shops nearby. Each room is equipped with one or two full or queen beds, a new HD television, cable internet, and a bathroom with a shower.

Services
Winthrop is one of five towns bordering the Cobbosseecontee Lake, also known as Cobbossee Lake, which is a top bass-fishing lake. At 9 miles long, the lake has plenty of room for boating, fishing, and kayaking. Because of our room sizes, we ask that only pets under 30 lbs. stay on the premises and must be disclosed at booking, subject to a pet fee.

The check is was super easy for us as my boyfriend is handicapped ♿. They left the key for us, and charged our credit card later that night. They didn't attempt to bug us or hound us for the money. We checked out a little later than it said too and the owner was very understanding and didn't charge us a late fee. The housekeepers were VERY friendly and helpful with our TV and giving us more towels and things requested. 😀 VERY VERY clean rooms, good amount of space even for a wheelchair!. This Motel is super friendly and very clean, and deserves my money and 5 stars. Definitely will stay here

I've been living at the Cobbossee Motel since before the ownership changed hands back in late 2019. The new owners took really good care of me and the property, and when they moved off the property they hired a manager that mirrored their values. The manager and housekeeping staff check in with me daily to see if there is anything I need, and how I'm doing. Cobbossee Motel is a quiet, family and pet friendly retreat for most, and home to those in need.

Do not stay here I got covered in bites. (Even though they spray monthly). Regardless of everything else I'm about to say, this is reason enough to not go.
Owner was very micromanaging. Makes you park your car a certain way(angle and all) even though the parking lot is basically empty. Won't allow you to open a window a door without getting on your butt about the heat costing too much. The beds are the worst thing I've slept on besides jail. I had to ask the housekeeping to vacuum because the floor was so visibly dirty and every day they didn

Stayed there in August 2016. The air conditioner did not work, though the manager insisted that it did. Finally had to move all our stuff to another room with a working A/C. We were not offered any compensation for our trouble. The place was very clean, so anyone who wants a clean room at a fair price would be happy here. Would have given this place one more star if they hadn't given us the room with the bad A/C.
