Hydraulic check valves are one way valves that allow flow in one direction and are checked (or blocked) in the opposite direction. They come in many flow and size ranges. Check valves can be pilot operated to open or close and must be thought out carefully when used as load holding valves. Please consult with us if you have any questions in selecting a check valve.
Hydraulic counterbalance valves are often referred to as load holding valves. Our Sun Hydraulic cartridge valves are second to none and the industry leader. Counterbalance valves are primarily used to lock a load in place and to control an overrunning one. Counterbalance valves should be set at 1.3 times the load induced pressure.
