The Cypher Company was established in Pittsburgh, PA by Robert W. Cypher in 1946, and incorporated in 1953. The focus was supplying hydraulic hose with reusable fittings, lubrication equipment and other consumable items to the construction, quarry, deep and strip mining industries. The Cypher Company was one of the first distributors offering hydraulic hose and reusable fittings in the tri-state area (PA, WV, OH).
Keystone Aqua-Petro Composite Hose replaces the bulky rubber suction and discharge hoses frequently used in the pump rental market. This durable suction and discharge hose provides excellent flexibility, light-weight handling and long service life. Keystone Aqua-Petro hose is suitable for water, oil and some chemicals used in fracking.
The Cypher Company furnishes hose products to the Longwall Mining industry in the United States since 1972. Products offered include a full-line of staplelock adapters and hose fittings available in regular and super staplelock. All hydraulic pressure hose is available with an abrasion-resistant poly cover, through 2"- 6,000 PSI, 2-1/2" and 3" - 1,000 PSI working pressure for Water or Emulsion return hose.
