I have a PC that computer shop helped me put together a while back but had never worked. The former shop told me that the "motherboard was probably bad", and having had built the PC on a budget, I didn't have the money to replace that (and who knows what else) at the time... so the project just sat.
Recently, I got around to getting it taken care of. I decided to take it to CodeBlackIT this time, because I wasn't that impressed with the first place. It was a whole different experience from the start.

The team at CodeBlackIT was friendly, helpful, and communicated very well. Shawn is a straight shooter and gave me the information to make the right decision which didn't only rescue my laptop from a battery about to explode, but he was able to replace the battery by opening the computer despite the screws being stripped. Shawn was very honest and professional when evaluating my laptop I brought in. I thought I was going to need to pay $200, but after discussing my options for my broken laptop we decided that it would be better to pull hard drive out instead of repairing the screen costing me only $15 from amazon. I am very appreciative that he counseled me to a decision which both saves me money, and accomplished my goals. I think anyone lacking extensive knowledge of hardware should feel secure going to this business knowing that they will evaluate your needs with integrity.

I took my Mac mini here because I was having problems booting the operating system on startup. I suspected a bad hard drive. CodeBlackIT found a option selection error in the operating system and corrected it at no charge to me. I have had other apple laptops repaired here in the past. I can best describe CodeBlackIT as honest and reasonably fair priced. It gets fixed right the first time.

We needed a fast laptop repair and the team got it done at code blackIT. Laptop wasn't turning on mad we needed important docs that were on the laptop. They saw us right away, diagnosed the problem and within an hour I had my saved docs on a flash drive. My laptop is toast but being able to retrieve the important docs was awesome!!! Would totally recommend!!!

Dropped off my Macbook for service. They were able to fix quickly but unfortunately it had additional issues that were unknown after the fact. They informed me of all my options and helped me to make the most informed repair decision. My macbook was fixed very fast with the best customer service possible!!!! Highly recommend for all computer and IT needs.

Shawn was amazing. I told him my problem on my Late 2011 MacBook Pro, over the phone and he said to bring it in for a free diagnostic. After taking a look at it said he could try to fix the problem. He successfully did and finished the repair in an hour. Would highly recommend taking your Computer here for any issues!

Dropped off my laptop a few weeks ago. My Mac would not turn on at all. They fixed it in a timely manner. Also, they went out of their way to find and install a program that was missing upon completion of repairs. They are professional and transparent. Would definitely go back for all my computer needs in the future.

CodeBlackIT and Shawn were great! I took my 8 year old iMac in and got a quote to fix the logic board, but when they opened it up, they saw there was more damaged so Shawn called me to see if I wanted to continue or not (given the age of the computer and cost to fix everything). We decided against it and instead just had the data backed up. They only charged for the backup and were able to return the new part, with no charge for the diagnostic or opening the computer. Shawn even left my old drives out in case I wanted to do anything with them in the future. I would definitely use Shawn again (but

I spoke to the owner earlier in the week and he assured me that he would meet with me on Friday to repair my laptop. I even called right beforehand to make sure that he would be in.II showed up and he was not in. However he called me first day and Monday morning apologized and had me come in right away. He was able to make a quick recommendation and get my computer fixed. Excellent customer service!

My logic board crashed on my 15" Macbook Pro 2011 edition (common these days if you bought a Mac that year.) I also needed my cracked screen replaced and the fans as well (I've had my Macbook for 3 years and never cleaned it..) Shawn repaired my laptop and answered my basic maintenance questions and showed me how easy it was to get the dust out myself.
I spent around a grand, but the computer itself was like $2800 (everyone's like, why don't you just buy a new one? LOL), and I was just happy getting MY computer back, with a perfect screen and quiet fans. The actual labor price

I exclusively use a laptop for work. I carried it to my car 3 of 4 times a day, and carry it in and out my house or office the same number of times a day. I am very demanding on my computers and often find myself carrying them without case or protection. I have dropped them onto asphalt from my car seat, slid it off the desk and dropped it off my bed. Despite the fact my work depends on my ability to use the computer daily, I generally am fairly careless in my handling of a tool which is essential for my work. I cannot work if my laptop is down. My power plug on my computer stopped charging my battery.
I took it into laptops plus and he said yeah it's a normal thing happens all the time and it would be like 120 bucks
He wasn't sure of the turnaround time because he had to order the part I told them to go ahead and overnight the pardon charge me to difference in the shipping cost so that I can get it quicker. Because it's a laptop I use for work and I needed it back by next week
He called me the next morning and it already fixed it and it was all done.

I was not impressed. First of all, my hard drive crashed and I needed to recover at least some of my documents very quickly. They had it all day, charged me $100 and found nothing. Well I took it to someone else, and they were able to find the docs in about 2 hours. I know that when you pay there's no promise that they can recover the stuff. I just find it suspect that they had my computer for a full day and as soon as I took it to someone else, he was able to find the documents more quickly than they were. Plus no one there actually took the time to speak with me about what I needed to do
