Granite Peak Veterinary Hospital owners Drs. Catherine and Suzanne Roth are 4th generation Montanans who were born and raised in Laurel, MT. Dr. Catherine and Dr. Suzanne both earned their Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Oregon State University.
Dr. Catherine worked for 2 years in Spokane, WA and Dr. Suzanne worked for 2 years in Coeur d'Alene, ID before moving back to Montana and opening Granite Peak Veterinary Hospital in 1998 with their family.They have 40 years of combined veterinary experience and understand the unique challenges and atmosphere that Montana has for our four legged friends.

Wellness examinations are the same for your pet as the yearly physical you receive from your doctor. It's an opportunity for our doctors to do a comprehensive check-up on your pet. The doctors and technicians will also ask some questions about your pets diet, behavior, and any other concerns that you may have about your pets health.
Dental disease is a common problem with our furry friends. Regular dental check-ups with your veterinarian are essential to keep your pets teeth and gums healthy. Good dental care can increase your pet's health, vitality, and well-being and help ensure your special companion leads the best life possible.
Granite Peak Veterinary Hospital is equipped with a digital x-ray system which provides the highest quality and safest radiographs for your pet. Radiographs (x-rays) are a very important diagnostic tool that we use to help diagnose a variety of medical problems. What will the application of Laser Therapy do for my companion?
Granite Peak offers in-house laboratory services. We have a Heska Blood Chemistry and Hematology machine. This allows the doctors to get answers and start treatment quickly to get your pet on the road to recovery. We also have the ability to do same day pre-op blood work. We also send out samples to ANTECH Diagnostics laboratory when we need more specialized and extensive diagnostics.

I needed to board my dog while I recovered from surgery and this place went above and beyond to help me! They were wonderful and took such good care of my Migo. I couldn’t have done it without them. I will always be grateful! A special thank you to the vet tech Lauren! She is my favorite and went out of her way to help me and be good to Migo and I! You guys are truly the best 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Sad to say that their is little to know communication in that office and I have been going to this vet for years and walking in with my VERY sick dog that was going to them almost every week, they didn’t even recognize us. I was so scared and I new it was going to end bad! They removed a tumor and I called for the results and they never called me back. They sent them in the mail because, they new Rampage passed. There was no respect and my poor baby kept coming home worse every time he came home from their.

I switched to these guys after taking my pets to a previous vet for 2 years. At the previous vet I was told my dog was "just stressed" and my cat was "being obnoxious". Here at Granite they took the time to actually look at my pets and ask me questions and we found that my dog needs dental work and my cat has had a bladder infection for 2 years. The staff are very friendly and caring and truly love the animals. I am so happy I am with Granite Peak for my pets now!

This is the #1 veterinary hospital in billings. I have been to quite a few different ones throughout my life trying to find people who truly care about my animals and none have done anywhere near as good as granite peak. They saved my kittens life when she had little to no chance of survival. Everyone thought she wouldn't live past 6 months.... Well she is now almost 3 years old and is the happiest baby out there. If it weren't for granite peak, she wouldn't have made it past 4 months.

Ya know....for the most part they are really pretty good. However, we took our little fella in the other day and I requested to have his nails clipped while they were checking him out and when we got home I realized it wasn't done. We weren't charged, but it was the idea we asked for it and didn't get it. We were the only ones there so it wasn't like they were "to busy". That's the reason for the 4 stars.
The employees and doctors are friendly, the facility is always clean and it's easy access (behind the Red Door on Grand and Shiloh). Although they slipped up this last time, I would still recommend
