Dr. Ashamalla is a Board Certified General Psychiatrist who has more than 20 years of inpatient and outpatient experience in the medical field including General Psychiatry, General Surgery, Radiology and Internal Medicine. He got his psychiatry training at the University of Arizona in Tucson.
After graduation, he moved to FL and Since then, Dr. Ashamalla has practiced in the Orlando-Kissimmee Metropolitan Area serving the cities of Dr. Phillips, Windermere, Metrowest, Lake Butler, Bay Hill, Gotha, Lake Buena vista and the surroundings area.

I was referred to Dr. Ashamalla. I called to schedule an appointment and was told I would be called back. After 2 weeks of waiting, I called to find out my status. I was told that my case had been rejected due to the medicines my current Dr. prescribed. I have been trying to change and get off of these medications but Dr. Ashamalla nor his staff communicated with me at all to find out anything about me. I have been in the mental health care system for 25 years and this is by far the most unprofessional doctor I have come across. Doctors are here to help us, not reject us without any notification

This man was perfectly nice and seemed knowledgeable until I developed epilepsy, along with the depression and anxiety I was originally seeing him for. Once I did and went to both my neurologist and GP and they suggested a change in my medication regime, he refused to treat me further. This man is not someone I would ever recommend to anyone who has any medical issues aside from psychiatric needs. His hubris simply does not allow for agreeing with other physicians.

If I could have given him less than one star I would have. Saw him today for about 20 min. He kept interrupting me everytime I tried to say anything. I have several lifethreatening rare diseases but he was not the leadt bit interested in why that would make me depressed and anxious. I have been sick for 54 yrs hospitalized for my illnesses around 1000 times. I have had very good compassionate Drs and very bad ones. He was by far the worst!!!!!!!! I would not advise anyone to see him! He in those 20 minutes disagreed with 5 other Psychiatrists and neurologists about every diagnosis I have had for
