We provide the level of expertise, reach and depth found in larger search firms, but with a more personal approach. With roots firmly planted in the functional area of marketing and communications, we are often retained by clients for senior leadership roles across a broad range of disciplines-finance, human resources, operations, business development, etc.
I have been recruiting executives since 1981, beginning with owning and operating the largest office of a national recruitment firm. In 1993, I founded The Ward Group in response to growing client demand for their search partners to have shared values as well as expertise in identifying and attracting leaders who also share these same values.
As a fundamental component of our approach to executive search, we have long embraced the importance of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Our goal is to continue building upon what is working well and commit to ways that we can improve as we partner with clients to advance the goals of DE&I in the workplace.
We conduct senior-level searches including CEO, President, and General Management positions among other leadership roles (Marketing, Communications, HR, Finance, Operations, etc.). With a deep understanding and background in Marketing leadership, we are often retained for positions that will drive growth and/or have an impact on an organization's success.
I began my career in advertising and branding, shaping client stories in the agency setting. What I learned through that early experience is that I enjoy building relationships with clients, so I decided to help shape companies in another way. Now, I identify individuals that are the right fit for the right opportunity.

Always get great customer service at wards, they have great product knowledge and nothing is to much trouble, we get lost with all the different products but Simon is so helpful and knowledgeable and professional, we have had to ask for his help a lot just recently as we are redecorating inside and out, Simon has been on hand on every visit helping us finding the right product even to mixing paint to suit our colour choice, we definitely will not shop anywhere else that's for sure, well done they are doing a great job, highly recommend *****

Sorry for the late review but I’m useless on the internet. I came in a few weeks back to speak to Michelle about my house renovations but she wasn’t about so a young lady called Angela dealt with me. She was marvellous.
She’s full of knowledge about styles, periods and trends. She spoke in-depth about colours, light and different papers and gave me so many ideas to be getting on with. She’s a credit to Wards and such a bright bubbly personality to boot!

Very disappointed with the service I received from the snooty advisor... "You do realise this wallpaper is £90 per roll" she replied whilst looking down her nose.
Certainly won't be buying my wallpaper from here, I think!
Not to mention the unprofessional conversation they were having about a previous customer behind the counter whilst I was looking at wallpaper samples.
Such a shame, it's important to support local businesses.
