Services
As co-owner of J.M. White Funeral Home Mrs. White enjoys helping the community with all needs, especially those that relate to her professional career of funeral service. She has been a licensed funeral director since 1989. After graduation from Vance Senior High School, Jerry went to college at Gupton Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta, Georgia.
Funerals have been a part of the grieving process since the beginning of human history because they help us move from life before death to life after death. The graphic below illustrates the impact of the benefits of a funeral and can help you begin the healing process. A funeral service can mark the significance of the life that was lived.
For centuries, funerals have helped us say goodbye. No matter what kind of funeral ceremony you are planning, it helps to understand the parts of a meaningful funeral. Each element serves a unique purpose and plays an important role. When you put the elements together, you create a ceremony deserving of the special life that was lived.
Receiving friends through a visitation activates your support system and allows others to express their concern and love for you. Having a visitation encourages you to openly and honestly mourn the death. Friends and family will remember you invited them and often stay more available to you in the months that follow the death.
Nothing can be more overwhelming than the death of a loved one. The ability to make informed choices can help you along this path. Bringing family and friends together to celebrate a cherished life is part of the healing process, and best served through a personalized ceremony and tribute.
When choosing cremation, it is important not only to capture the memories and celebrate the spirit of your loved one, but also to provide healing through gathering together, paying tribute, and celebrating a life well lived. Our primary mission is to ensure that this special, emotional, and necessary time for healing receives the utmost attention.

My family deeply appreciates how J.M. White Funeral Home handled my aunt's funeral and burial. They were professional and compassionate and helped us with every detail, which was so important to us because we live several hours away. J.M. White is a local, family-owned business. Betty and Jerry White treated us as if we and our aunt were part of their family. I highly recommend them to help with your family's funeral and burial needs in your time of loss.
