I really hoped that I could give Joel a 5 stars review and return every year for my tax filing. My husband and I had an initial consultation with Joel to discuss about filing our tax for 2018 (W2 jobs and Property rental). Joel was a warm and welcoming person when we met and we really liked him. I remember leaving his office that day and told my husband, I think we found ourselves a good CPA where we can go back each year and don't have to hop from one place to another when tax season approaches. Joel Smith helped us with a tax problem with the IRS when you used our retirement money before 59.5 years old due to a loss of job. He knew of the tax law that said we could and proved it to the IRS!! He is definitely the Master of Tax. I would highly recommend him for your business accounting, outsource accounting, controller, or personal taxes and planning. He is definitely our tax man for life!!!

I called Joel last fall regarding questions I had about a specific form while amending my 2015 taxes. He was patient w/ me over the phone, and shortly after I sent my forms in to the State. I was happy to know that w/ HIS help I finally filled out this one section of the form correctly. He helped me get over the hump I had and I'm very appreciative. What's crazy is that when I called the State for help the representative "Xavier" couldn't even help me w/ my simple problem.

Joel does both our small business and personal returns. Thank you for your excellent work Joel. He is very easy to work with. Also might be worth mentioning I switched to Joel's service from a small tax firm and can't be happier. Joel's fees are very reasonable, and he works directly with my Quickbooks files which makes our syncing-in very easy. Anyway, with all the good work Joel has done for us, he also does our personal taxes now (it's after many many years of doing them by ourselves)

I refer Joel over and over again for good reason. My clients always tell me how Joel helped them save on their taxes because he found something their previous CPA had not. This year, it was my turn. Joel found something that my former CPA missed from 2014, and instead of paying thousands on my 2015 return, I got a huge refund!

A couple of months ago I got the dreaded mail that no one ever wants to see: It was an envelope from the Internal Revenue Service, they wanted to schedule an appointment to review more documentation. Naturally I freaked and was worrying incessantly over it. Fortunately I knew Joel and was able to ask for his advice. He is approachable and has extensive experience dealing with tax issues. Joel is well qualified in real estate tax issues, small business and coporate tax issues. He's no joke when it comes to being the nerdy tax guy that knows everything. Has a Masters in Taxation, CPA, CMA you name it. if you want good quality trust worthy advice then Joel is the man. i've known him for 12 years and i have been a client for 5 of those years since he has gone to private practice.
