I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed School Counselor, and Licensed School Social Worker with over two decades of experience working in the field of mental health in school and community settings. I hold a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master's in Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education from the University of Colorado-Denver.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps people to identify and change unhelpful and destructive thought patterns that negatively influence one's emotions and behaviors. Yet CBT is about more than identifying thought patterns; it's focused on using a wide range of strategies to help people overcome these thoughts.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is a type of cognitive behavioral therapy that focuses on transforming negative thinking patterns and destructive behaviors into positive outcomes. Mindfulness: Mindfulness promotes living in the present moment. You will learn how to pay attention to what's going on inside of you while also tuning into your senses and what's happening around you.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. EMDR is a set of standardized protocols that incorporates elements from different treatment approaches. EMDR therapy is an integrative psychotherapy and uses a technique called bilateral stimulation to repeatedly activate opposite sides of the brain.
