Accordion shutters constructed of high quality extruded aluminum slats, accordion shutters move horizontally between an upper and lower track. When fully opened, accordion shutters stack on the left and right side of the opening at approximately 1 inch per linear foot of shutter. Hence a 10 foot shutter would require only 5 inches at each end when opened.

We received quotes for hurricane protection from a number of companies upon moving to FL full-time. Wind Safe was not the cheapest but they were by FAR the most responsive! Mike was out here at least 3 times prior to our placing the order, discussing various options and answering our questions. He personally checked on every installation, and even had the crew make some minor adjustments to enhance the appearance of some windows. Every time I contact him, he either answers his cell phone immediately or gets back to me within an hour or so. He patiently answers any questions that come up. Also,

I Highly recommend Wind Safe Shutter!
I had a lanai hurricane shutter installed on June 16, 2021. Right from the beginning of the sales visit through installation, the team exhibited courtesy to my property and professionalism of the installation.
During the building permit, and installation process, I directed my questions through the office to which they responded immediately. The installers were meticulous in making certain the shutter was in perfect working order for the County Building Inspector's approval and that the work area was clean.
Personally, my past experiences with other contractors

Because Windsafe Hurricane Shutters was recommended to us by our neighbors, we decided to give their office a call to schedule an appointment.

Very responsive and friendly group. They tore out the original hurricane shutters and replaced them with new code-approved shutters. Wind Safe installed shutters next door and I had them come over and look at what I had. I then contacted the office for Mike to come out and do an estimate for me. The shutters actually came in earlier than expected and boom... I'm a satisfied customer. Zach and Jaime did the breakdown and installation. They were polite and cleaned up after themselves. The lanai was actually cleaner after they left. I would highly recommend the team.

We had Wind Safe install hurricane windows two years ago. They did a fantastic job in a very fast and efficient manner.
Recently we broke a window lock and they replaced it in short order with no out of pocket cost.
