The salon is a lot bigger now and we're able to offer much more, but the ideals of establishing supportive relationships with clients and providing excellent services have never changed.
Back in 1982 I pioneered "speed waxing" as a way for working women like myself to be able to afford waxing services on a regular basis. Valuing my clients' time and pocketbooks, I found ways to adapt my services to their-your-needs. As you schedule your waxing appointment, bear in mind that it is always helpful to inform us if you are taking medication, including antibiotics. Please also tell your esthetician if you use Retin-A, glycolic acid, Acutane, Benzoyl Peroxide, tanning products, or acne creams. They can affect how the skin responds during waxing.
We offer a "Walk-In" discount for all waxing appointments made in person, for the same day. These appointments are subject to availability, and we cannot guarantee a technician will be able to accommodate any or all of your requested services at the time that you arrive. For longer appointments, or appointments with a limited scheduling window, we recommend that you book at least one day in advance.

I've been coming to AFB for about 15 years. It's always been my go-to place and I refer friends here all of the time. I can't speak for anyone's bad experiences, but my experiences have been very good. I had one negative run-in with a receptionist but I received a very nice response to my voicemail and my service was comped. I've always found the facility to be quiet and clean and serene.

I have been coming to About Face & Body off and on for over ten years. I saw a sign posted outside of the establishment that read 20% off waxing services. When it was time to pay my total did not include the discount. I pointed this out to receptionist thinking she had forgotten. She told me that a Brazilian wax was not included in this promotion. I also showed her a card that was on the counter which said "all waxes 20% off including Brazilians." She insisted that they never offer discounts on Brazilians despite the promotional card stating otherwise and it was an old card that they
