Unfortunately I wanted to love this place. We liked the food. The mushroom waffle dish was too gluey but the rest of what we got was great! What ruined the experience was the state of disrepair and cleanliness. The walls were pealling or something funky and the floor beneath our table was littered wish a mask, pens, and food droppings. For thier high prices I would expect a simple but well kept atmosphere.

Food Poisoning
DC Harvest gave me food poisoning. I ordered the Tuxedo Gemelli Pasta. I finished eating it around 7:00 PM. By approximately 12:00PM that evening I had vomited most of it up. I would throw up three more times throughout that night and into the early morning. It was one of the most miserable nights of my life. My entire weekend was ruined. Now three days later I am still not fully recovered. No one else in my party ordered this dish. I had had nothing else that day that I either hadn't eaten on an earlier date without incident or that hadn't been shared with someone else

Nice ambiance, was welcomed immediately as we opened the door. We did not have a reservation, but was immediately in the window nookby the bar. Emily was our server, she was pleasant and attentive.
The menu accommodates vegans and vegetarians. My partner loved the shrimp and grits, and said it was extremely tasty. The fruit was fresh, waffles were a little too hard for my liking, but breakfast was over all good service, just pricey.

I wanted so badly to like this place. I like everything about farm to table.
But I would never recommend this place. The food was not good at all. Lukewarm and lacking flavor. Maybe it was off -- because both my friend and I wound up with stomach aches. The prices are definitely not cheap -- especially for what you get
Additionally the service was marginal, the host was super weird, and if you're interested in eating outside -- realize that you are almost sitting on H street. And expect to be inhaling city bus exhaust
Oh... one more thing ... craft beer should not be served in a can

We just had dinner with cocktails here and everything was great! I do think the chef, the staff and the food deserve a lot more credits than other negative reviews suggested. The kanpachi crudo was delicious and fresh. Pork chop and steak were faultless. Donāt hesitate to order the pumpkin cheesecake - it was so great and actually made from fresh pumpkin not your regular pumpkin pie from pumpkin spice! I would come back here anytime!

We came here for brunch with some friends and sadly found it to be very average for a high price. We ordered the flank steak and waffles to split. They have a good vegan selection if that's what you're looking for but overall, the food was not worth the cost.
The portions were on the small side and really expensive for the quality. The steak was very chewy and hard to get down. The waffles were crunchy to the point where they were almost TOO hard. The unlimited mimosas were 90% OJ and even when we asked for less juice, nothing changed.
Service was fine but our food just couldn&apos

Would not go back, and can't recommend from my experience. My experience started with a curt phone ordering, realizing they had my partner tip on top of gratuity, having them forget items from my order, realizing they didn't take my order properly to cutting into uncooked pork and the worst tasting pumpkin cheesecake. My 1 star is for the chicken which was good and some potatoes though not crispy as described. Needless to say this experience was not worth it's value> $100

Food was pretty good but definitely not worth the price. The only thing I didnāt like was the weird waffle appetizer - warm waffle with cold mushrooms and cheese??? Very strange choice. Vibe of restaurant in general was super pretentious - but lacking the quality to even be so pretentious - for those prices Iād expect a much fancier inside and amenities. You have to put down a deposit to make a reservation - even when thereās no one there, lol. We had to book so far in advanced but it was empty!!! Also, they make you wear a mask at the table when youāre not actively eating, unlike most

Best kept secret!!! This was my first time dining here and the pallet was pleased!! The Brunch Shrimp & Grits were superb! Everything was so fresh and satisfying. It was the first of many tries today, the pear mimosa, sweet potato hash, and bacon fritters ALL of which I enjoyed and will definitely be going back again!

This is a slightly upscale spot that seems relatively unassuming from the exterior. I was overwhelmingly impressed with the tofu "egg" scramble, the drinks, the service, and the ambiance. Their ingredients are clearly fresh, they outline their local sourcing in detail, and there are an abundance of vegan and nonvegan options here. My only issue with the tofu scramble was that it was a bit on the oily side -- but the freshness of the vegetables and the flavor of the tofu outweighed that.

I wasnāt sure how hard it would be to drop in on my vacation so I reserved our table a month ahead. Everyone was amazingly courteous, and they had a decent menu for a farm to table restaurant! Our cheese plate appetizer was great, I almost asked for seconds. Dinner was good, mainly the protein which was cooking to perfection. The smoked chicken had this beautiful crispy outside and was so moist it was sweating. The pork chop was great, not over cooked with a good flavor. The only thing we were a fan of was our sides. The brown butter kale was very heavy. Super small and random but Iād still

Came here last last Saturday night with a Groupon. The fine print says reservations are required so I made one that is non-refundable if you don't show but reimbursed if you come on Tock. I called up to confirm this and they said they looked forward to seeing us. The location is on H Street, an eclectic corridor, and they have a patio as well as indoor seating. We chose the patio. The server and chef were both really nice and attentive. The Groupon is a good deal as it includes two drinks, one appetizer, and two entrees. While they have a decent beer and wine selection, we opted for their

I was the spokesperson for the NJ Department of Agriculture for 12 years, which gave me a great appreciation for farm to table restaurants. DC Harvest is the place to go for farm to table in the District. Every dish is fresh and inventive. You are treated like family, too. I loved that we got to speak with the chef/owner, who was super nice. My dining companion was late and the server took good care of me until she arrived, bringing me obviously home-made pickled vegetables, which had a hint of spice. Very enjoyable. Their cocktails and wines are out of the ordinary. I had a red wine that was served

What a treat! Ordered for pickup on a Saturday with friends. Staff was also kind to call me and remind me that my travel time might be increased because of the festival finishing up. We got chicken thighs, encrusted tofu, lamb burger, fried okra and a side of the broccoli and cabbage slaw. The chicken was really great, got to have a good chicken thigh! Plus number three which made it easy to split up the meal. The sauce was delectable and I really appreciated the accompanying veggies that were crisp and juicy. The chicken was definitely the group favorite however I personally love lamb so the Burger

An intimate ambiance which puts you at ease, a rustic decor, and a creatively simplistic menu is what you can expect when dining at DC Harvest. While some of the entrees are pricey, you'll get what you pay for as it's immediately clear when your plate hits the table the fresh, quality ingredients which were used as well as the craftsmanship that goes into the dish. Intricate flavors then permeate your taste buds to further confirm the chef's effort. The attentive and accommodating service was the cherry on top. Vegan or omnivorous, gluten-free or not - their modestly-sized menu manages to cater

Imaginative chef passionate about bringing locally sourced food to diners' plates. Amazing food selection, nothing is average here. Tomatoes tasted as if they were picked moments before hitting the plate. Pasta created by hand. Best steak in town. Scallops tasted fresh and yummy. Creative lamb & chicken appetizers, not too spicy. Every bite is flavorful and extremely tasty. Nothing frozen. Chef greeted us during and after our meal. Very friendly wait staff; prompt and not rushed service. Even the wine, beer & cocktails are creative & local. Want something out of the norm with exceptional service

Decided to take my wine society group to DC Harvest.
Service was fair but my guests didn't feel as welcome as others who made reservations.
In Washington DC there are many restaurants charging $20-$35 non refundable reservation fees . Not cool!
The food portions were good but the price tag on their menus was overly priced along with a hefty $21 gratuity already added to our bill's total.
I'm not feeling the greed of city restaurants making patrons paid for the affects of COVID-19.
Something has to be done.

Ordered a three course meal with a craft cocktail, sparkling water, and coffee. Many of the items ordered are pictured. The meal was made from quality ingredients and offered a fresh and modern take on American fare. We arrived 30 minutes prior to our scheduled reservation and we're promptly offered seats at the bar, in the main dining area, or on the patio. Overall, the service was superb, and staff remained masked throughout the service period. The restaurant is located approximately 10 minutes (by foot) from the Union Station Metro stop on the Red line and can be easily located on H Street

Glad to be able to come to this restaurant and dine! I ordered a strawberry mimosa and a watermelon mimosa. The strawberry mimosa was delicious (so much so that I didn't get to take a picture before drinking it up). The watermelon mimosa was also delicious. I really enjoyed my food. The steak was cooked to perfection. I asked for my eggs scrambled with goat cheese and jalapeƱos (highly recommend). It came exactly how I asked and was delicious.
Our servers were excellent- very kind and attentive.

DC Harvest is a relatively small spot we stumbled upon one day for brunch. Inside the spot wasn't too packed, but that could be because we arrived towards the end of their brunch.
I ordered this refreshing watermelon mimosa that was delicious. Unfortunately it wasn't a part of their $40 bottomless which only includes the classic orange juice. For food, I was between the Louisiana scramble & the steak & eggs. I asked my server for her recommendation which led to me ordering the steak & eggs, which came with a small salad, eggs, & sweet potato hash. The steak was seasoned

D.C. Harvest has been on my list for a while and I came by a Groupon. First, I will say that the food is delicious and made with quality ingredients. Second, I will say that if you are looking for "leftover" portions..this is not your spot. I tried their Fish and Chips ($17 - 1pc fish), Lamb Burger w/bacon ($25 - One of the best lamb burgers I've ever had! *medium rare*), Italian Scramble w/goat cheese ($20 - Delicious), Shrimp and Grits ($23 - Good). I highly recommend the Lamb Burger and Italian Scramble w/goat cheese.

This place was great and I plan to return when I want to treat myself! I went in for a celebratory dinner with my sister and a friend. We sat outside (they have heat lamps to keep you warm, and a barricade to protect you from traffic). You let them know where you want to sit and you can access the menu online as they've stopped using physical menus. I ordered the trout entree, the S'mores Chocolate Pot du Creme and the Tiempo para la Playa cocktail or the Persephone. The entrance for the place is ramped but there are a couple doors to maneuver, but the outside seating is on the street

It was a cool but not cold evening so we sat outside where they have a street setup and great lamps. You can order at their window for takeout or step inside to let them know you want a table. Hand sanitizer is available at the host stand for use.
We all started out with their fall cocktails, the finger snap, dragon fruit mimosa and the spiced pumpkin margarita. All were delicious but the ginger and dragon fruit had just the right amount of

They're doing takeout during the lockdown, and they've decided to offer brunch and dinner menus throughout the day, so if you want to take some french toast to eat while you watch the sun set, you now have an option. They have a window to the street so you don't have to walk inside. This is a high-end farm-to-table restaurant. I suspect the experience of eating in was more important for them than for the average restaurant. Perhaps when the lockdown begins to lift, they'll be able to do some kind of quiet socially distanced indoor dining, but for now they
