Pros: talented nail techs (see picture, i was very pleased with how my nails turned out) and decent health protocol (hand sanitizer & temperature check before entering)
Cons: I was in the chair for 2 hours, and my nail tech didn't even cut my cuticles, soak my hands, or give me a massage so I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone in a rush. Additionally, the "appointments" are fairly meaningless. I called ahead and made an appointment for 3:45pm; I was brought to a chair at that time but spent the first 40 minutes waiting for a nail tech to become available.

It was very good and the they knew what they were doing! Highly recommend the service. Products quality was good, they way manicure and pedicure were carried out was awesome. One can just go, tell them what you want and they will take it from there!

I went to this place couple of times. And didn’t like all of them. I was thinking after first time ( when woman cut 2 my fingers) and even didn’t apologize for that, I will get some good experience. But no, I am super upset. I felt like no one cares about the quality. The pedi was ok actually, but manicure is horrible. She didn’t cut off my skins around the nail and color didn’t lay properly on the nails and had bumps. The place was very convenient for my location and am super surprised it has such a nice reviews. I will look for new place. Also pretty pricey. Not recommend

If you are going for pedicure I would really recommend you not to waist your money!
The staff are very friendly but the service you get is not comparable to other places. The staff who was doing my pedicure was not even looking at my foot while she was doing filing and massage. My toe nails looks the same as it was before! I'd share a picture of my heels and toe nails but I'm not comfortable with it.
I have been to other nail salons and paid even less and got amazing services which lasted for a long time! Looking at my toe nails and heels, I feel I need to go again very soon!

The worst Manicure experience I've ever had. The nail tech cut my cuticle and made it bleed . She saw the blood and put tissue over it. She never apologized. Then she went on to the next with her clipper. I told her please don't cut me. She repeated that to another nail tech in a mocking way. I'm never going back. Two days later I'm still in pain!

I just moved to Mountain View and am temporarily staying at The Village Residences. This salon is located in the first floor of the building, right by the Safeway in The Village. I stopped by here looking for a new nail salon, and got a gel manicure by Truc. First of all, Truc is so lovely. She was friendly, kind and very good at what she does. She let me try on more than on color to pick, did multiple coats to get the color perfect and all in all left me feeling very satisfied with the service.

Excellent place for manicure and pedicure. One of my all time fav places for nail care. Every single time I go there the owner surprises me with her dedication and hard work. Truc is an amazing person, very patient, pays great attention to details and a perfectionist. I had a great experience. The best nail spa ever!

I’d been wary of going to a nail salon since Covid started but Lux Beauty has been GREAT. They are very clean and every time I’ve been in the salon the technicians and customers have worn masks.
It’s easy to make an appointment online (which I definitely recommend because they are busy on the weekends!) and each time it’s always great service and so relaxing.
I’m even typing this out as I’m sitting at Lux Beauty getting a pedicure.

The place it's very nice and the ladies did a great job. I tried the jelly pedicure for the first time and it was a very good sensorial experience. Also my skin feels so soft after it.
Elle did my pedicure and she is nothing short of amazing. Her massage is very thorough. Also great attention to detail and nice personality. My toes look and feel very pampered.

For covid protocols, I think they do great my having as many separators as possible as well as having you use hand sanitizer and asking you to continue to wear masks. Everyone is doing their part with PPE.
I dropped in to get my nails done with a design a week ago. Here's where it gets disappointing. First, it seems like getting an appointment is the way to go especially if you want nail art. Ask for Hannah for nail art as it looks like she does great stuff.

Lux nail spa wasn't as luxurious as their name suggests. A very basic mani-pedi (no massage) will be done in about 30 minutes if your goal is mainly efficiency and a polish change. Their main plus is being so well located right next to Safeway.
If your goal is a relaxing and pampering experience there are other nail salons walking distance from here that will do a better job.
I don't think I'll be back.

I absolutely love going here! I’ve been coming here for years, and it’s owned by a husband and wife - they are so sweet and kind! These were my gel nails from yesterday, they turned out perfect!! They also have an amazing nail artist on staff who did jade marble and gold flakes on acrylics for my sister!!!!

It's the most I've spent but it's also the best mani pedi I've ever had. My nails looked fantastic and there was no chipping for at least 1.5-2 weeks. They gave me "party nails," which was a gradient of glitter going down my nails, like a *glitter hombre.*
The entire experience took over an hour, so my sister and I had plenty of time to relax and chat. They also took their time to do a beautiful job. The place looked clean and it was busy with customers. So it's best to book a reservation instead of walking in.
