Retirement.a lakefront lot.an existing boathouse - what more could you ask for? Our clients wanted a home they could enjoy year round, plus plenty of room for their family to comfortably visit. They loved the Adirondack style and wanted to blend it with their spectacular views of the lake. We incorporated the stonework on the old boathouse into the exterior of the house and built up from there.
These customers bought their lot with an indescribable house(see second picture). The only thing they told us to do was to call them after we'd torn it down! What we designed to replace it was quite different. We had many hurdles - lot restraints being the biggest. We only had a small rectangle for the footprint, & it was a tight 20x50.
The open floor plans lend themselves for entertaining, while private spaces are subtly tucked conveniently off the main spaces. An elevator will help you get to the kitchen on the third floor or the billiards room on the second level. Exotic woods and tiles help form the backdrop to our homeowners handmade furniture and love of natural materials.
Vision is what you need to see a house that looked like this & say "That's my dream house!". That's exactly what she had - even when all her friends told her she was crazy. She could "see" what it could become. A year and a half later, with all the permits in place and design work complete, the transformation began.
Steeped in tradition, this Cape has a rear elevation you won't believe! Cathedral Great Room features large half round window over a bi-parting slider that opens onto a great terraced party deck. Our Customers love capes -very traditional ones. She has a real flair for decorating and is quite handy when it comes to crafts and sewing.

Anyone thinking of hiring this company to build anything for them, please, take a moment to consider other options. We had an expensive house built by them and now after 4 years we are having to replace a leaky roof deck, place footings under all outside staircases, and other work to combat leaks. The owners response to these problems,"these things happen". He'd be happy to fix them, for a price. Right.
