Gintien Huang, M.D. was born and raised in Southern California. He is a board certified ophthalmologist who studied medicine at the St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri and went on to train at America's oldest specialty hospital, the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary where he served as chief resident.

The employee i think i heard them call her Rosa is extremely rude and unprofessional...... She has a huge problem with rolling her eyes thinking no one can see her......
She talks out in the open about the different guys she’s seeing like if the public wants to know her business. Disgusting i would like to think she’s having a bad day..... but from other reviews it looks like she’s a wart on this company......

The reason im giving the office 3 stars is because of the rude staff! I took my father in for his Appointment last week and the front desk was very rude I do understand with this Covid virus going around precautions are mandatory but it should not affect your customer service. I myself work at a optometry office . The young lady Rosa needs to be retrained my father has a hard time hearing and i saw her rolling her eyes and snickering with another young lady, if you dont have patience for the elderly maybe you should try another occupation! I must say Dr. Gintien is wonderfull he took the time and

Staff is very rude. They overcharge for cheap frames. Expensive frames are locked up and the manager was VERY reluctant to let me check out the designer brand frames. She didnt want to open the glass case and acted as if I was wasting her time or looking to steal. I was very uncomfortable from the start. I didnt have any sense of being helped. Also my mom got her exam there and we recieved a hand written prescription that had the wrong expiration date and misspelled her name. Not worth it! P.S. the best optometrist and owner has retired. So good luck if you end up there because that office manager

I have been going to Dr. Huang for 20 years! Yesterday I had the pleasure of having my eye examination performed by Dr. Meg (Samantha Makpaiboonvatana, OD). She is very thorough and made me feel comfortable and confident in her capabilities during the entire visit. The office staff was very gracious to give me a last minute appointment. I'm a lifelong patient here. Started going to the old office over 25 years ago for eye check-ups and glasses. I no longer live in So Cal, but I still schedule my eyecare appointments here when I come back to visit. I've always had a positive experience, especially when it comes to getting appointments scheduled and a quick turnaround on glasses orders. Everything is efficient, affordable, and transparent. Most recent visit was September 2015 to get replacement lenses after scratching up my glasses pretty badly. Highly recommend!
