Couldn't have asked for a better photographer! I got married in the middle of the day outside when lighting was the most harsh; yet Melissa was still able to snap the most beautiful photos. Melissa is a friggin genius and made the most amazing shots with all of her little tricks. We first worked with Melissa for our engagement pictures last year. Melissa was a joy to work with during my wedding, and a true artist!! I immediately chose her as my wedding photographer after seeing how gorgeous her previous weddings photos turned out! No one else compared. She also had extensive experience shooting at our particular reception venue (Barr Mansion), so I knew I could trust her intuition and direction to capture the best photos. Where do I even begin! We hired Melissa for our engagement photos and our wedding. Being in the wedding industry I've seen A LOT of photographers work, and when I first started sifting through photographers for my own wedding, I had about 20 on my list. Melissa was the absolute best! From the moment I contacted her she was prompt, responsive, and accommodating. We met to talk over engagements/possibly wedding day photography and from there I knew she would be perfect for our big day! Melissa shot my wife and I's wedding last month. Fantastic photos aside, she was an absolute necessity at our wedding. A fly on the wall when she needed to be and a member of the family when the occasion called for it. She was more than a photographer, she was a participant. I chose her to take boudoir photos (and put together a classy little album for my husband) as well as a couple's shoot with my man. I researched boudoir photographers in the Houston and Austin areas for about a month before I decided to book a session with Melissa. I fortunately found Melissa through Groupon. Our house, feeling quite bare of pictures..I knew we desperately needed pics of me and the hubby that were NOT wedding pictures. Candid or self taken shots, while Facebook worthy, just didn't cut it for wall framing.
Enter Groupon offer deal, me jumping on it.
I'm pretty sure Melissa got an overwhelming response of purchases, many more than expected, but she was very organized with scheduling everyone in. She did a great job of communicating schedule openings and fitting everyone in when she could, so kudos to her for that.

I don't know if I'll be able to do her justice, but i'll try! Melissa was *amazing*. My husband and I were lucky enough to find her after some awesome reviews from other brides. She was able to capture the "real us" - there were no super cheesy poses, just shots that captured our quirky side - for both our engagement shots and our wedding photos. She mingled seamlessly with our guests and was able to take some really amazing photos that I'll cherish forever.
