Patty is a God send. My teenage daughter wanted to wear her hair in natural styles and it’s not easy finding a salon that specializes, in natural hair, in the northern suburbs. I searched a few time and decided to do another Google search in hopes that I had missed something. She had just relocated from White Plains and my daughter and I have both been with her for a year now. She really knows how to treat and care for your hair. I also LOVE that she is ON TIME. She doesn’t deal with lateness and it’s by appt only. She’s awesome!

I was very pleased with my first visit to Ms. Patty and found her professional and fully accommodating of all of my requests. Her facilities were clean and she was very patient and kind about answering all of my questions.
I found her to be fully skilled and prepared and feel that her quality is the best I've been to. I really enjoyed her private appointments as opposed to a regular salon visit and waiting behind other people. I highly recommend!

My experience at Patty’s was amazing! I’m not from the area, and they were the first shop that appeared on Google. I called, and Patty worked with me to get in an appointment as quickly as possible. When I arrived, they were kind, clean, and professional and got me out of there in an extremely timely manner. To top it all off, there are no Uber’s in the area so the ladies were kind enough to drop me back off at their hotel! Superior service all around!

I really appreciated how professional and helpful Patty was . She reinforced safety protocol by utilizing protective mask, sanitizer and checking temperatures before providing her services . She also accommodated for my physical limitations , and was very reassuring and time efficient with her hair servicing . Let's start by saying this women is AMAZING when it comes to slaying your hair, she is the female version of Edward Scissor Hands. Warm and inviting very pleasant her heart is in the right place and definitely an angel. As I said years ago, I will follow Patty wherever she does. Her new location in Orange County is a hike for me, but Patty is the best. She's an artist, she knows what my hair needs and prioritizes healthy hair. So now, I've got a new look and I'm happy with my results. She so took many precautions to reduce COVID risk. Patty's hair salon is not only professional, but she take time with your hair. She know what each person hair needs and extremely knowledgeable. I got my box braids done and they were absolutely amazing! I also came back to get my hair straightened and she doesn't disappoint! I love the fact that she does one head at a time. Patty is an absolute gem. I had an event and scheduled an appointment with another stylist who canceled on me at the last minute. I called Patty and she made time for me the day after I called. She was prompt and respected my time. I did not wait at all for my appointment. After introducing herself, she got to work blow drying and flat ironing my hair right away. She did not add additional services or products that I didn't need. She trimmed my very uneven hair beautifully when I requested a trim. She was gentle and cared about my hair. I started coming to Patty last October after moving to the area and reading reviews on Yelp. My hair was damaged and was breaking easily. There were visible gaps from the breakage. Step-by-step, Patty was able to nurture my hair back to strength. The breakage stopped and the gaps filled in. Her daughter Kim did a weave on top of a protective cap and it further helped restore my hair. Within 4 months, my hair was natural and strong. Kim's weave has actually helped my hair grow.

Yay and nay. The studio was pretty, in a bright and clean space. Patty was very nice. She washed, conditioned, and flat ironed my 4c hair. Waves were added via pin curls, so it had body. The overall look was very nice.
However, the hard part was the trim I got. I was talked into it, as Patty said my ends were really bad. I lost my length - 2 plus inches in some areas - and my hair was left all uneven. Not just in the spot in the picture- it is like that in multiple areas. My hair grows slower than average, so I was pretty bummed about this. Maybe my hair was uneven before, but it's uneven

I decided to come to Patty's Hair Garden because I've been natural for three years and my hair is always dry no matter the products I use. She has shown me which products to use and which would not be best for natural hair.

If I could give zero, I would. I made an appointment for my daughters for the one day I had off three weeks ago. I was nervous about getting their hair braided, asked her a question about maybe getting a cut instead. She said it was not possible. I told her I Will keep appointment. Two minutes later she says, it was filled already. Very disgusted with her practice, she probably already double booked appointment! You lost my business.

I scheduled an appt at Pattys and she was extremely accommodating. She opened the shop early for me which is greatly appreciated! Just make sure that you're on time. She was very knowledgeable, kind and helpful especially since I DO NOT have ethnic hair and my hair is very fine. I've always wanted either braids or twists and she consulted with me on which was the wiser choice regarding my hair type which ended up being the crochet twists. My wife and I were trying to find a good place for my mother to go. She'd just moved to the area and was used to going to her hairdresser friend, so we knew that anyone new was going to be a serious challenge. Patty has a wonderful "bedside manner" and made my mother feel comfortable and confident that she knew what she was doing! Very rude on the phone. When I called, I had to repeat my question five times before she understood my request. Annoying---since, she is suppose to be an expert. I will admit, I was already frustrated because it seems so difficult to find a natural hair stylist outside of NYC proper. Patty is an amazing. She really cares about the health of her clients hair. It was clear from start to finish. When I called to make an appointment she asked me questions about my hair and that showed me that she is really passionate about what she does. Patty was very gracious the moment I entered the salon. Went today at Patty's Hair Garden ( pattyshairgarden.com ) to get my dreadlocks. Miss Patty closed her salon and scheduled only me, so that she could focus on doing my hair. Funny and smart lady! I'm asian with straight smooth hair, and miss Patty worked her magic! My dreadlocks don't even looked like baby locks when she was done with it! That's saying a lot considering my hair type.
