Joyful Garden

Usually order from King Garden on 4th st but they close kinda early. I will not make the mistake of ordering from Joyful Garden again. Everything was just subpar from I'm used to at King Garden and the lo mein was especially terrible.

The food is delicious I just don’t understand it says 10 dollars and over you receive a free egg roll and when I asked they said it changed 15 and over okay we’ll I see someone needs to update there website….

I’m never ordering from here again. My order was wrong and they were rude about the whole situation. They would not even refund me my money. They put mushrooms in shrimp and garlic sauce which sounds and looks nasty I can no eat mushrooms. They didn’t apologize or anything. They told me they can remake my order not refund it. I didn’t even eat the food. Never again no money from me

Very unhappy with their delivery service/ customer service !! Order food for delivery and about an hour in I noticed my food still hadn't been delivered so I called the restaurant and was told my the cashier that my food was on its way another hour passed !!! Called them back now told the delivery guys car broke down!!! So when I immediately requested a refund because I paid on their website. They at like they wasn't going to give me one. Went here about 2 weeks ago. The food here is so flavorful! Their bean curd with mixed vegetables is delicious and my stomach did not feel bad after eating it like most places.

Ever since I started working in downtown Wilmington, I searched wide and far for a chinese food spot for lunch. Not only does Joyful Garden offer the convenience of online ordering, they give you a 5% discount for ordering online. Also, repeat customers can redeem a stamped "rewards card" for a free meal after so many orders. Of course the food isn't authentic chinese food, but it certainly does the job of filling you up, all while tasting pretty darn good. My go-to lunch orders are Chicken/Beef with Garlic Sauce, Szechuan Chicken/Beef or General Tsos Chicken. I'd avoid the

Most horrible experience!!!! Placed an order for delivery. Provided my address with zip code. The restaurant confirmed delivery within 45-50 minutes. They called 20 minutes later to say they couldn't deliver because the address I provided was over 5 miles. I knew this was a lie so I checked while on the phone and it was only 2.8 miles. She then said google was inaccurate. This place is a waste of time! STAY AWAY AT ALL COST! SERVICE IS NOT RELIABLE SO THEREFORE THEIR FOOD MOST LIKELY IS NOT RELIABLE TOO! LIARS LIARS LIARS.!!!!! Nothing good comes out of liars!!!!!!!

They have some good Chinese food here. Service was fast and I've had no problems with my food when ordering from here.

This evening makes the last time my friends and I will order from Joyful Garden. I ordered online and no less than three times, when I was ready to proceed to checkout, I was told I hadn't yet ordered. It took me at least 30 minutes to be able to finally place our order. Not only did they mess up this order, but had done so several times in the past.

Worst experience ever! Do not waste your money! I ordered a shrimp lo mein, extra spicy no vegetables & got shrimp lo mein with extra vegetables not spicy. Called back in to let them know they made a mistake and the woman argued me down I didn't tell her my order correctly. Will never order again

I don't really like the taste of the food here. The sauce on the chicken and broccoli was not good. The chicken in the house special fried rice didn't look, feel (texture wise), or taste anything like chicken. I just ate around them because it was definitely not the same that was in my chicken and broccoli.
There aren't a lot of good Chinese stores in Wilmington so I figured I write this for the next I want Chinese food I will be reminded to not get it here.

What's up Yelp? I've been busy with school lately, and have only had time for a review here and there, but I thought I had to sign in and post about this awesome Chinese jawn, especially when I saw it only had 3 stars.

I went here at around 6 o'clock tonight in search of a place that was still a. open b. accepted credit cards and c. wasn't on

One star is even pushing it. I ordered delivery food going against what few other yelpers have posted. I have honestly never been served such horrific food in my life. The "chicken fried rice" is something that appears to be chicken like, sitting in orange Mexican-like rice. I couldn't even try the other food as it smelled horrific and was so hard I decided it wasn't worth it. Stay far far away.

Got the General Tso... Asked for it to be spicy, thinking they would throw I a few peppers..basically was coated in a weird hot sauce .... The chicken was not chicken... More like ground up chicken parts formed in a ball, lost my appetite.

Well, you get descent food for the price you pay! Try the luncheon specials.. I am there almost once a week.. It's usually busy during weekday lunch hours..

I've only had their fried dumplings, but they taste great and are perfectly priced.

I absolutely LOVE THIS PLACE. You get free Half & Half drinks with spending over a certain amount of money. One of the best restaurants I've been to in the country when it comes to taste and price as well.

I am staying down the road at the Execustay by Marriot (An absolute abomination of an extended stay) and this place is about two steps away from my hotel.

I am impressed by not only the quality, but the quantity and value of the food from this location.

I ordered Cream cheese rangoons, and sweet and sour chicken and the food was delivered piping hot and was delicious.

I would recommend eating here to anyone trapped in the financial district. Just don't walk there at night. It's not dangerous... it just feels a bad zombie movie once all the bankers go home for the day.

Joyful Garden is our favorite Chinese food in Wilmington so far (we've only lived here half a year). The lady that works the counter most nights is sweet as can be, always friendly and has never messed up an order.

I strongly advise delivery if ordering at night; the restaurant is on a darkly lit downtown side street. I don't want to stereotype the neighborhood but at the same time I would never send someone down there alone to pick up food after the sun goes down. Safety first--have it delivered!

Portions and prices are on par with any other Chinese take-out place. Shrimp with broccoli

I love ordering from this place, pretty much the only local restaurant which delivers to the downtown/Brandywine Park area of Wilmington.

Food is the basic Chinese stuff, but good and REALLY cheap. The girl who takes your order in the evening is a sweetheart, never rushing you, helpful... the delivery men are friendly, ALWAYS smiling. Many times they'll include a free iced tea or soda just to show appreciation for your business.

Doesn't get any better than this when it comes to Chinese food delivery.
