Why this place is not packed and on a wait, is beyond me. From the moment I walked in , the classy tavern look with the modern twist is very inviting. Let’s just start with the spirits, try any of the crushers, won’t be disappointed. As far as appetizers, great choices, try the fire cracker shrimp and cheese steak spring rolls.
We decided to go for the Boneless short ribs, yummmmy, paired with seasonal veggies and mash. Wifey got the Bourbon glazed chicken, very , very good. Wilmington , let’s show this hidden gem some love.

Made a large reservation for a rehearsal dinner over a month ahead of time. Called two weeks out to be told they are not open and they aren’t sure who took the reservation. Their only solution was their much more expensive banquet options. When I advised the general manager the pricing of the banquet options was far greater than the needs for our event he told me “I’m sorry that pricing doesn’t appease you” and hung up on me. Incredibly unprofessional behavior from the General Manager and disappointing from a place I frequent. Incredibly frustrating and leaves a bad impression of the

This restaurant is one of my favorite in Wilmington. The food was excellent, I recommend the short rib nachos for a tasty meal. The bar has tv's overhead showing the football games on Sunday. There is a room large enough for a gathering (bridal shower, birthday dinner, etc.) just behind the bar. Looking forward to my next visit!

1 glass for each finger on my left hand! They are were great, strong, & full of flavor! Even the aromatic fragrance of all 5 of them was captivating! My senses were under attack and I loved every second of it! The staff had to handpicked because they shared a wonderful vibe that is rare nowadays. I am definitely going back here after I stop off at Cajun Kate's first!

We were in Wilmington, DE for a week long business trip. Both of us are foodies and appreciate quality food created with exceptional ingredients. After trying a few local restaurants, we came across Washington Street Ale House! The food is incredible!! Their Nachos are a must have, as well as their Caramel Cheesecake. Their burgers are gourmet! We ended up dining here FOUR times during our week stay -- we loved every experience. The staff are friendly and professional, if something was wrong or we wanted to change anything, they were on top of it. You could tell all of the staff wanted your experience
