Batavia Cafe
This was hard to accept, design and furniture were our first loves, but the market had spoken. Our first business was failing. Around that time we took a drive to Tarrytown, NY to get our minds off things. Or so we thought. We went to a cafe/coffee house there, and we said to ourselves "why don't we open a cafe in Summit?"

After all the time spent on business planning for our furniture business, Batavia Cafe was conceived over coffee. It was born in Tarrytown, NY sometime in the Spring of 2010. How could we serve our customers the best food? That was all that mattered to us. We traveled to San Francisco, Philadelphia, France, and Toronto taking in all their food scenes so we could bring them to you.
Services
After repeated customers' feedback and requests, we decided to expand our menu and offer Family Meals! We will have dinner packages for 4-6 people that consist of the main dish, side dish/salad, possibly a snack, and sweets for the finish. Whatever it is, it will be a great combination of flavors and a balanced meal for your family.

I was out of town and searching for a good lunch spot when I cam across this nice, quaint local Cafe. I ordered a spicy torta with a small cappuccino and everything was great. The spicy torta's foccaccia bread was crisp and the smoked ham tasted delicious. Definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for good lunch or breakfast options.

Came in for a quick lunch while holiday shopping and this totally exceeded my expectations! Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and all the ingredients were super fresh and expertly prepared. The hot chai latte with oat milk was perfectly brewed and not overly sweet. The warm kale and avocado panini on multigrain bread is absolute deliciousness, so flavorful and the texture of the sautéed veggies atop the warm crispy toast was heavenly! Lots of other veggie options too, will definitely come here again and highly recommend :)

Avocado toast was good but the scrambled eggs were horrible. $3.25 is crazy for overcooked motel eggs.

I keep trying to give Batavia a try... but third time and I'm done.
My office ordered for the third time. Every single time its late, and its not due to the delivery service.
Today my sad cup of Tai Chicken soup was just that... sad. Hardly anything in there. Thank goodness for the crackers. Co-worker had a WAY overpriced cob salad. How about cubing/cutting up the chicken rather than slicing it and slapping it on the salad. Oh and pay attention when someone says Balsamic, and not give them ranch.
The prices are way over the time for mediocre at best food.
Last time for us.

Waited almost 20 minutes for an $11 egg sandwich to go. Staff finally asked what I ordered to get it going. It was just ok and I could have ordered the same from any deli counter for $6-8. This is what I got. Tip: Don’t add a tip while ordering. Wait to see what and when you get it! Nice place but I’ll try others.

Nice environment and staff. I ordered a chicken wrap . The chicken was very dry, tomato and avocado were fresh. I expected a more flavorful wrap. Not bad but not great. The price was a little bit expensive for what I got.

Batavia Cafe is the only cafe that I've run across that actually offers "you", "tap water".
Last Saturday afternoon, I stopped in for a bite to eat.
The café has cute indoor and outdoor seating.
The young women behind the counter were very accommodating. Also, the entire staff wore masks.
I ordered a Turkey Club Wrap $12.95.
The girl asked me, if I wanted something to drink.
When she told me the drinks, I was totally surprised that iced tap water was actually offered.

The Turkey Club was brought over to me along with the ice water quickly.

Batavia manages to juggle delicious food, a warm ambiance, and kind, efficient workers without any hassle. Had one of the most peaceful lunches in this cafe. I recommend trying a combo to dip into their scrumptious sandwiches, salads, AND soups!

The cafe was immaculate and the menu had a great selection of soups and sandwiches. The daily special sandwich was tasty on whole grain bread but pricey at over $11 with no sides.

This spot was awesome! Wondered in when out walking with a friend for a quick bite to eat. I ordered the spinach salad with goat cheese & chicken and it was brilliant! I wish they bottled and sold the vinaigrette they used because it was to die for. Will definitely come back soon!!

Yesterday I had lunch at Batavia Cafe and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The employees were very kind and safe. I ordered inside and then took a seat outside. The food came out in less than 10 minutes. I ordered the Spicy Aioli Grilled Chicken sandwich without bacon and it was so good! It was a bit spicy, but definitely not overpowering. I also got a small cup of water. I really enjoyed my dining experience and I will definitely come back again! The only part of my experience that I wasn't completely sure about was the cleanliness and availability of outdoor seating.

Based on weekday breakfast time .. conviniently located near Summit downtown and station area. Amole paid street parking. Seemed like a comfy spot to work with free wi-fi, coffee and cafe like menu.

Reason for 3 stars was food, had much higher expectations before entering in terms of presentation and service. Coffee latte and chai tea were given in to-go cups in-spite of being a sit-down order. Egg sandwich was nothing special - had to add salt and pepper with each bit to make up for taste.

Although just before existing we saw soups being set up and vegi coconut soup caught our attention. Will

One of my go-to's for a WiFi "work from home" spot. Excellent caffeinated beverages, full menu of noshable lunch fare, and quietist space not overrun by strollers (I'm looking at you, Boxwood Westfield!). Only drawback is the 4:30 pm close time!!!

I went here as recommended by my coworkers and OH MAN! If you come around lunch time, prepare to sit with a stranger or grab to go, cause it is busy, and for good reason!

Upon entrance you can see a a large selection of soups, pastries, and sandwiches. Salads are made to order and can be customized or choose from signature salads. I got the Mesclun Salad with Avocado and Grilled Chicken. It did not disappoint! The greens were fresh, the chicken was nicely grilled to perfection, and the avocado and goat cheese had a nice creaminess to it. I also got a chocolate chip cookie that was to die for.

I have lunch at at Batavia whenever I'm in Summit to see clients during the week. Great food here! I've not found better soups, salads, or sandwiches in the area. All well worth the couple of $s as ingredients are top notch and service here is truly exceptional. They take care of you.

Given the quality of the food, the 10 minute (or whatever) extra wait actually enjoyable. Its a cool, bustling scene with art on the walls and an interesting mix of customers. Highly recommend.

I've been to the Batavia Café many times in the last 2 years. Summit has a lot of great places to eat and Batavia is definitely one of my favorites for a quick lunch. The food and baked goods are of great quality. The service is efficient and the staff is friendly. They have beautiful paintings on the wall that are actually for sale that I always look forward to seeing.

I L O V E D I T! Since the very first moment when I walked in I felt in love with this place.
First thing I noticed was all the paintings they have all over the restaurant, and then I saw their soup bar , The smell.... SO GOOD.

You can bring your family to this place, They have kid's meals, they have soups, salads, pancakes... everything! The customer service was outstanding, the guy responded to all of my questions about their salad's menu.

Finally I decided to get a custom salad. It was very fresh and The best salad I have ever had! Something that made this salad different

What a cool place to hang out and just chat, chat, chat. I tend to have a 3-hour breakfast with a certain co worker, let's call her Grace, and she usually buys it for me. Today she recommended the Breakfast sandwich and I ordered Huevos Mexicanos, but I think, what I got was Batavia grilled cheese- a panini in white french bread with eggs and bacon which I consumed in a heartbeat. It was a delicious mistake. Since her wrap hadn't come yet, we just chatted, chatted, and chatted. Ahh, they didn't get her order. She placed it again and ordered one more breakfast for me, the right

It is okay. This place has a great ambience with open dining area and a bright but warm inviting environment. It seems like a good place to catch up with friends or a hunker down on a good book.

I would advise you that it is not winning any huge awards for food. Their breakfast sandwiches are remarkably simple and I feel overpriced... But how else are they gonna pay for the ambience that I eluted to early? For two eggs wrapped up in a tortilla, $7-8 seems too much for me.

The service was a bit absent minded, forgetting our coffee. And once it came it was bit watered down. I think this place

What a nice place to start a morning with a cup of coffee, a breakfast sandwich and two friends to chat with!!

Because I didn't have early morning meetings at work in the City,I decided to meet up with two girlfriends for a quick breakfast and Batavia was perfect. A quick walk from the train station and the perfect selection of breakfast items.

I chose a breakfast sandwich - Taylor Ham, egg and cheese on their homemade focaccia and it was delicious! The bread was perfectly toasted with a slight crunch yet tender inside.

My friends ordered oatmeal with fruit and yogurt with fruit

Came in for a quick, healthy and simple lunch and Batavia checked off all boxes. Food is ordered at the counter and they have a wide variety of sandwiches, soups and salads. This is basically like a non-chain gourmet version of Panera Bread.

There is plenty of outdoor patio seating and indoor seating which is a mix of tables and cozy couches. On to the eats- I ordered a chicken salad wrap with tomato and cucumber. The wrap was stuffed with alot of chicken salad and the chicken was really fresh and all white meat. My Dad ordered some sort of chicken avocado club sandwich and enjoyed it. This is
