As community acupuncturists, we are expert clinical practitioners, working with hundreds of people each week, giving over 10,000 treatments each year, and gaining experience with a huge range of health conditions. Our licensed providers are comfortable working with you whether you are dealing with an everyday complaint, such as stress, a cold, or headaches, to more complex, severe, or rare conditions.
Sebastopol Community Acupuncture was founded in May of 2007. Our mission is to help you achieve your health goals by making acupuncture affordable (by offering a $30-$60 sliding scale), accessible (by being open 7 days a week) and enjoyable (relax in comfy recliners, wrapped in cozy blankets, listen to soothing music).
Acupuncture is really good at treating a lot of things that Western medicine doesn't. Rather than managing your symptoms with pharmaceutical drugs, we will treat the root of what is ailing you and do so without side effects! Headache, stomach ache, toothache. Ear pain, eye strain. Really, all types of pain are treated with acupuncture and results are usually immediate.
This place ROCKS. I've been there at least a dozen times, and think it's the best concept in the world. I've turned my friends and boyfriend onto it, and they've raved about their experiences as well. My treatment for menopause was helpful after the very first session - I have hope again - I feel so clear and peaceful - this was very dramatic and I am so grateful.
What is acupuncture? Acupuncture is a safe, effective means of helping the body regain health and balance. Our practitioners use tiny single-use, sterile, surgical grade needles to stimulate a series of points on the body. The needles are inserted quickly and then left in place while you rest comfortably.

Saw Derek for recurring migraines. After 3 weeks of ongoing pain I was desperate for help. He was so welcoming and calming. I felt immediately at ease. Amazing! This was my first experience with acupuncture. I was dealing with a whiplash injury which was getting progressively worse over two and a half months. It was becoming so debilitating I was having a hard time working. I expected good things but I did not expect to have 95% relief after 2 visits! I am beyond thrilled and amazingly thankful! This clinic is truly amazing. Acupuncture is such an important way to be pain free and healthy, for any reason you can think of, acupuncture is going to help out and Sebastopol Community Acupuncture makes it affordable. I've been seeing Barbara for over 6 years and throughout that time she's helped me in more ways than I can count.
