Services
C.D. was sworn into the State Bar of Oklahoma in 1949 and began his legal career in 1950 for the Sinclair Oil Company. By 1959, C.D. had accepted a management position with Sinclair in their New York offices. After eight years of management in New York City, C.D. packed up his family and moved to Scottsdale, Arizona.

After being admitted to the practice of law in 1994, Ms. Perkins was a sole practitioner for two years before forming Owens & Perkins with her maternal grandfather, C.D. Owens. No one else in the family is an attorney and Michelle had the wonderful privilege of working side by side with her grandfather for 23 years.

We hired this firm to handle a quit claim deed transaction. Not only did they not issue certified funds they refused to reconcile the matter. They claim it takes 2-3 business days to put a stop payment on a check, simply NOT TRUE!!
The hold clearly states the check is help because (check specific information indicates item may be returned)
UNETHICAL to hold funds that do not belong to them. The agreement stated fund were to be provided in 72 hours. If they need funds to float their business they should take out a loan. Would not recomend.

Divorce is scary. No one looks forward to contacting a law firm after realizing you need to get a divorce; however, my experience with Michael Clonts was one I am absolutely thankful for. Unorganized and unprofessional. This lawfirm will lose documents, blame you for not knowing the law and insist you pay them while they obligate you to do all the work. They give 0 🤬 about the outcome of your case, the fairness in how you are treated both during your situation by other parties and within their lawfirm, and their only intentions are to collect payment for made up billable hours that you actually did for them. (ie: organizing documents and preparing for trial) I would of had a better out come representing myself!

I have been going through a two year HIGHLY acrimonious divorce that was fast heading to court and another year plus of fighting and ridiculous expense. My (now Ex; and that feels great to say) husband hired Michelle Perkins as his lawyer and I was working with another company and lawyer. Pretty much flat owed lied to. Joe told me from the start he would try to keep my fees to a minimum with an initial retainer fee of $3500. Had me believing him. Not only was this a very easy case, not contested, I was charged double the fee by the end. Joe has very weak negation skills. A very young 'green' attorney who personally told me he did not want to be a family law lawyer while we were in mediation with the judge. What???!!! Joe was totally intimated by the judge. Would never, ever refer him or the firm. However I would refer my wife's attorney to everyone. Make sure you

In 1998 I was referred to Michelle by a friend when I need a good divorce attorney. As most divorces go, it got ugly and Michelle was always there to take the burden off me so I could concentrate on my job and children. Called with a divorce question I needed clarification on. Michelle and Max were great to talk with me and get all the facts and answered my question. Super impressed with their willingness to help when I was not a paying customer and disclosed that it was my hope to resolve the issue without involving an attorney. I just happened to look at my review of Owens and Perkins and for the first time looked at their answer. To anyone who is thinking of hiring them I could go on and on about their answer which is not factual. I didn't even get my personal property which was discussed in the settlement. Max Hanson did not make any arrangements for that. My divorce papers where filed when I was in the hospital. My property is unavailable to me and most of the things that where important to me where mine before marriage.

I spoke with several attorneys before meeting with Kris and Michelle. We own 4 businesses and I knew our divorce would be quite complicated. I remember watching C.D. Owen's video on YouTube about how his practice is based on helping clients get to the point where they can think straight. When I watched that video, I knew that's where I needed to be at. I needed to think straight.
