We're excited you're coming to visit us at ACE Adventure Resort and we're going to make sure your cabin or cottage ready for your visit. Below are a few things you should consider about your visit! All linens and towels (cabin towels are not allowed at the waterpark and are for cabin use only). Please note, our cabins do not have wifi; it is available at the Welcome Center, Dining facilities and waterpark.
For over 40 years, ACE Adventure Resort has guided vacationers away from their reality into West Virginia's great outdoors. We stayed at a cabin on the ACE property for a few days around Christmas. We used it as a base to explore the New River Gorge National Park and also did one of their ziplining tours. We had a wonderful experience. Our cabin was simple and comfortable. The hot tub was great to have in the winter and very clean. Our zip-lining guides were great and made us feel very safe. While there was limited staffing in the winter, the people who were there went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. The only downside is that there is no wifi in the cabins - but that can help you really feel

Can not say enough great things about the staff, nor our experience!!!ERay, Jake, J, Noel and Sarah were AMAZING!!!! Each brought a different dynamic to our zipline tour of 8 people from ages 8-42 that made our tour EPIC! Every range of emotion was experienced by our group from fear to joy and our guides encouraged and joined in each. It was an experience they will never forget. Thank you all so very much!!! Great stay, even in December! Stayed at ACE Resort in a cabine, two couples and a dog. Great cabine, clean and nicely set up, clean hot tub on a terrasse overlooking the site. Great value as well. We also did the zip lining, which was a lot of fun!! Beautiful views, great ziplines, fun and expert guides Eray and Carly! Totally recommend!

We were there in 2019 and had a great time. The guide was awesome - knew the river and took us into the NASTIEST white water! (Which I wanted!!). The dude was calm and professional. The trip leader - retired Marine from Florida - was also just awesome - knew the "game" and dang funny! Trying to figger out our next trip up from Atlanta.

This is my third time at ACE and I always have a great time. This time we did the day trip down the Lower Gauley. Everything was perfectly timed and organized. Everyone was very helpful and attentive. The campsite was clean and had easy access to the showers and bathrooms...always a plus! Our favorite part was the rafting, of course. The lunch provided riverside was well thought-out and delicious. And our Guide was the best! We will definitely be coming back and requesting Scott K. by-name for our next rafting trip. Thanks Scott and all of the ACE staff for a great long weekend trip.

Went with some fellas for a guys' weekend. None of us were particularly experienced in white water rafting, but the upper and lower Gauley looked fun. Due to the size of our party, we had two guides, and did the overnight option. Guides were awesome on the river, and were legit cutting up ingredients for our meals in front of us. I'm not saying this was gourmet, but they worked us hard on the river, fed us well with actual good food not from a can, and were just all around awesome people. I would totally recommend. Good food, good rapids, good people. Great experience.

I really enjoyed my Upper Gauley white water trip with Ace and highly recommend them. The rafting guides were competent, professional and most of all fun! I'd especially recommend Susan, she was an absolute gem of jokes and competent, no-panic professionalism and ran us down the rapids in a way that was both fun and made us feel safe. She's amazing! Also, the lunch of hot burgers was the best rafting lunch I'd ever had. And the river was fantastic! Great experience.

I went on the fall lower gualey rafting trip in October and it was great. I had only been rafting once before and that was on a river in CA, so I wasn't sure what to expect in comparison. The person that we called to make the reservation was helpful in recommending which trip to take, Lower vs Upper Gauley, and also on recommending clothing for rafting in colder weather.

This is the spot to go if you are looking for top class 5 rapids on the East Coast. Not only is the facility amazing but the staff are what makes this place special. Need to give a special shout out to my man Jackson. Jackson was our guide on the Upper Guley this year. He not only got us through the trip safely, he challenged us with technical lines, and helped us have a blast during all of it. Looking at reviews for all the local rafting companies it seemed like they all pretty much would be a great choice. I decided to go with ACE because they offered the best vegetarian lunch option and wasn't disappointed (hello veggie burger, fruit, chips/salsa, dessert)! Ashley was an absolutely incredible guide!! We did the Lower New River full day trip. We never wanted it to end. Such a perfect mix of thrilling rapids and relaxing floating. The river itself is scenic and surprisingly warm! I was with a group of three - only one of us had been rafting before, and another is scared of water activities but wanted to try. The day white water rafting was my first time and it was amazing! My friend was nervous at first and guide made every effort to make her feel comfortable and safe. The facility itself is actually very nice. The bathroom and builds are cleaner / nicer than outdoor activities I have done at other locations. The inflatables are fun for adults as well. I was considered it might be small and only really suitable for children, but that is not the case.

Total tourist trap. If your family is into camping and hiking, go to one of the many other camp grounds around the national park that are less commercialized. Essentially they are selling you on all the adventures they offer. Don't get me wrong the white water rafting trip we did with Ace was great, I just wouldn't waste my money on the other things. If you are in the area go explore the trails on the national park. Don't waste money at the resort.

Was one of the best experiences ever! Our guide Dustin was the man & did a great job guiding us down the river. He made it so much fun, his knowledge of the area (history) and of the river was fantastic. The rapids were fun and not overwhelming. We had a fantastic lunch on the river and overall had a great time. Once again, Dustin did such a great job and really elevated the experience to the next level. Our family did the overnight rafting trip option. If you have experience with white water rafting I highly recommend this trip option. The first day was on the upper river where the highest rapids we hit was class II. They also give the option on that day to go in inflatable kayaks, which we chose to do. For the adventure seekers it is a more fun option than rafting the smaller rapids because you really get to feel the waves. The campsite was great and we were provided with lots of food. Day 2 was when we rafted through the class IV rapids. Our guide was great at explaining the paddle techniques

We did the rafts on Friday. I wish they explained the duckies vs rafts better. The rafts had a guide on each of them who pretty much did the paddling and steering. The duckies, you are on your own. It's very hard when you have younger kids who are not great paddlers. We spent a lot of time circling around in the river. The guides were funny and nice for the most part. Julian was in the back and seemed to yell instead of help new paddlers. Lunch was surprising. We expected lunch meat sandwiches and had hamburgers instead. Liz was so great as our raft guide on our family trip on the Upper New River! Just the perfect mix of "fun and friendly" and "take-charge when the situation calls for higher risk management". As a former guide myself I know that's a tough line to walk. She is a gem, my kids desperately wanted her to come hang out at our cabin . The water park was also absolutely fantastic! We had a great Lower New River white water raft day trip as part of a girl's weekend trip to celebrate a birthday. The outdoor activity, mixed with ACE's COVID-19 protocols and our vaccines made us feel safe.
We had an amazing ride with Scotty O. as our guide. The three of us were all new to rafting, but Scotty's experience made us relax and enjoy it. We followed his instructions and benefitted from the full wetsuits for the very cold water. The team was efficient and professional all along the way, from the beginning to the end of the day.

My daughter moved to Bradley and I try and visit at least once a year. When I visit in the summer, we try and go to Ace Waterpark and do a whitewater rafting trip. This year was no different as we did the rafting trip and had an awesome guide by the name of Nick. He was very knowledgeable and was able to guide us down the River without any major issues even though the rapids were very high and fast. My family and went on a zip line canopy tour here for my birthday.
The zip line tour was a lot of fun and the guides were friendly and good. We had Anna, Levi and Roy. Anna and Levi were really good, especially Anna.
I have ziplined before but they did a good job with fitting of the harnesses, explaining the safety rules and how to slow yourself down as you get to the platform at the end of the ride.
We rode 9 zip lines. I think that there was supposed to be 10 but a platform was down for repair so we didn't get the "full" canopy ride. But it was still a lot of fun and worth

We came to WV specifically to celebrate my nieces 30th. We stayed in Ridge View Retreat #503. The cabin was clean, had everything you could need and full of all amenities. We are in the WAY BACK-HILLS of WV, but thankfully they have a restaurant on the properties.
We white water rafted on Saturday the 1/2 day lower new half and had a blast. Ranging from 2-5 and Tug was our guide, he was a fantastic guide. His knowledge of the area is extensive and he talks about the coal history of the town all through the river. He was fun, personable and made us feel safe and reassured we had nothing to worry

Absolutely unbelievable experience on the lower New River. It was our first time doing a rafting trip and now we're hooked! The river guides have this down to a science! From the moment you arrive at ACE's grounds, they take care of you.
Every step of the way contains excitement and builds up to that adrenaline rush that you're looking for. Even the bus ride down to the river launch area was fun! Our guide Alisa gave a wonderful history of the grounds as we embarked on the windy road to the New River.
