With over 20 years' experience, American Lamp Recycling (ALR) is a pioneer in the mercury containing fluorescent lamp recycling field since the 90's. All regulated waste material sent to us for recycling is brought to our facility, where we utilize state-of-the-art technology to reclaim components for reuse.
Fluorescent lighting ballasts from light fixtures are being removed by the millions as a direct result of electric utility rebate programs. These energy conservation programs often include lighting retrofit projects. PCB ballasts from fluorescent light fixtures are being removed as a direct result of electric utility rebate programs.
It's the Law! All fluorescent and HID lamps, without exception, contain mercury-a toxic element that makes it illegal to discard with your businesses everyday waste. Due to the mercury content, fluorescent lamps are regulated by the USEPA.

In order to safely handle and dispose of your fluorescent lamps, ALR uses the USA Lights Technology, Inc., fluorescent lamp processing machine, specifically designed and engineered to meet federal EPA and NYS standards. Here's how it works: The USA Lights Technology processing machine processes under negative air pressure.
It is good business to protect your business from the financial liability of improper waste disposal. Cutting corners and improperly disposing of batteries can result in severe financial liability for your business. Toxic heavy metals, such as nickel, cadmium, lead, mercury and lithium are contained within certain batteries.
Electronics have revolutionized our daily lives. They are all around our homes and workplace and are used on a daily bases. The one thing that all these devices have in common is that they all contain various hazardous components. There are a variety of batteries and circuit boards with toxic heavy metals, plastics with flame retardants, and leaded glass CRT's.
