Dr. Southerlin is a practicing optometrist who takes pride in her profession and really enjoys solving her patient's vision problems. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in biological sciences, graduating with honors from Clemson University. A graduate of the Southern College of Optometry, Dr. Southerlin was on the dean's list and won the Stereo Optical Co., Inc. award for excellence in binocular vision.

Recently moved here from CT and my daughter and I chose to get eye exams here. ...and I think we had just got the best eye exams we have ever gotten. Dr Southerlin was thorough, very knowledgeable and super nice. She helped find a solution for an issue I have had for awhile. Thank you so much Dr. Southerlin!

I'd give 6 stars if I could. Dr. Southerlin and Erin couldn't have been nicer or more welcoming. I'd never been to an optometrist, and chose this practice based solely on the reviews. Well, the reviews were spot on. I was warmly greeted and then thoroughly evaluated. I wasn't pressured to buy anything. The consultation was thorough and informative, and EASY! My family will now consider ourselves exclusive patients of Southerlin Family Eye Care.

You will not find a better eye doctor than Dr. Southerlin. She is very thorough with her work and will leave you feeling like you couldn't be in better hands. She does not talk over your head and speaks in a way that isn't insulting to your knowledge. She is very knowledgeable and knows how to approach descriptions that are relatable and easy to understand.

I can't say enough about how great Southerlin Family Eye Care is. For a doctor that only sees me once a year, Dr. Southerlin is incredibly warm, welcoming, and goes out of her way to learn and remember her patients. Additionally, her appointments are always quick, efficient, and she does a great job minimizing the discomfort inherent with getting your eyes figuratively poked and prodded. Can't recommend her enough.

Amazing experience! Dr. Southerlin is very caring and professional - I get such anxiety about anyone touching my eyes and she was super sweet and gentle with me. Also, the environment is quite comfortable and personal - this is definitely not your eye doctor factory like some experiences. I'd absolutely recommend!

First visit today to Southerlin Family Eye Care after 20 years with another provider. I was absolutely blown away! Entire staff was extremely friendly, professional and helpful. I got my new contacts fitted quickly and Dr. Southerlin was very eager to discuss and answer questions.
After I paid and left, I received a phone call that they had explored further with my insurance and found a possibility to file for me that I had missed. They then offered to refund my payment and file for me. Maybe the best customer service I've ever experienced.
