Frosty's Heating and Cooling, Inc. has been a household name when it comes to quality service in Northern Virginia, Southern Maryland, Washington DC and surrounding Metro Areas since 1989. Protect your air conditioner year round with a Kool Kap. Day in and day out, your air conditioner's condensing unit is subjected to the sun, rain, snow, ice, leaves, dirt, sticks and other debris. This debris collects in the bottom your condensing unit and traps water, snow and ice. All this trapped moisture causes your system to prematurely rust and corrode, damaging your system.
More than cooling the air, the main function of an air conditioner is to dehumidify the air to create a comfortable environment. The water released from the dehumidified air is then drained away. If your air conditioning system is located in your attic, this can pose serious problems. If your drain ever clogs, the condensation will overflow from your air conditioner and onto your ceiling.
A hard start kit is designed to assist your compressor on start-up. If your inside air conditioning coil is located more than 50 feet from your outside condensing unit, you probably need a hard start kit to assist your compressor when it turns on. You see, your air conditioner works like a pump circulating the refrigerant throughout your system.
With electrical power at a premium during the sticky summer months, utility companies often lower their output of power. This is normally called a brown out. A brown out or reduction in power can do irreparable damage to your appliances, especially your air conditioner. All appliances are designed to work with a certain amount of power.

Todd was extremely helpful in giving us an evaluation of our heating & AC system and hot water heater. He was engaging and very thorough, answered all our questions. It was nice to see someone who loves what he does and so knowledgeable. He represented Frosty Heating and Cooling very well and gave us confidence to do business with your company in the future.

I was very pleased with the service I received from Todd Krems with Frosty's Heating and Cooling, Inc. Todd was on time for our appointment, he was professional, and he was expedient in his work. He was also very patient with my questions, and very helpful in informing me of the work he was doing, as well as the option I had for going forward. I felt informed, but in no way pressured. It was a very positive experience, and I would recommend both Frosty's and Todd very highly.

We've had an outstanding experience with Frosty's since we bought our home a year ago. They came recommended by the previous owners and have provided semi-annual maintenance on our two HVAC systems. We opted to replace one of the systems this year, which was reaching the end of its service life, and Frosty's provided a range of options to choose from. Scheduling was quick, the team arrived on time, completed the work in a day, was careful to keep the work and transit areas clean and provided instruction on the features of the new unit. We couldn't be happier and plan to continue to use them!

Frosty's technicians are the best in the DMV. Stephanie is amazing to work with and makes the whole experience a breeze. Todd, Larry, and Brandon make repairs and large replacements easy and efficient. They're always dependable for quick service and quality work. Lastly, Mary is a delight that is both a wealth of knowledge and always willing to help where she can. Great company!

Friendly and professional with clear explanations of what was done and what might be needed with absolutely no upsell. Where someone else (and some other companies in fact have) might have pushed additional services, Todd made rational recommendations and suggestions for easy ways to keep the units running. He even fixed a couple of small items he could have charged for under the normal maintenance. Half of the owners in my complex use Frosty's for routine and larger maintenance and we all happily continue to recommend them to others.
