What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you. I have always believed, and I still believe, that whatever good or bad fortune may come our way we can always give it meaning and transform it into something of value. I was always looking outside myself for strength and confidence, but it comes from within.
It is there all of the time. I am a licensed clinical psychologist and have worked in the field of psychology for over 25 years. My areas of expertise include relationship issues, family of origin issues, self-esteem, depression, and anger management. I look at the multiple areas of a person's life to understand how each part contributes to the person's state of mind or situation.

Services
Psychotherapy with individuals (ages six through adulthood), couples, and families, specializing in relationship/attachment issues, trauma, divorce, and depression/anxiety. Divorce-Related Services, such as Reintegration Therapy, facilitation of the Co-Parenting with Respect program (a Level 2 co-parenting after divorce program) which she co-founded, and parenting plan consultation.
I have sought extra training in relationship therapy through the Relational Life Institute, the Gottman Institute, and the Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP), among other programs. I once worked as a consultant in the couples' communication workshops put on by the PREP program at the University of Denver, where this program was developed.
My approach to therapy is one of collaboration with my clients. Frequently, we try to solve the mystery of why they continue to engage in the same maladaptive behavior or interpersonal patterns or why they experience particular symptoms, such as depression or anxiety.
We may explore emotional reactions, disturbing or traumatic memories, interpersonal concerns, goals, etc. Interventions for each client are carefully thought out and designed to address the particular issues and problems that each client presents.
