We’ve been coming for over six years and hate leaving each one. Tons to do (paddle board, paddle boat, fishing boat, kayaks, pontoons, canoes, off shore fishing.) The lake is crystal clear and the owners are wonderful. This morning we watched a turtle swim by, the loons and crane get breakfast and the baby sunfish take a peak at the shoreline.

We reserved a boat rental through Walters, and they even agreed to deliver it slightly out of their range for an extra fee (which was awesome, not many other places offered this). The reservation process went super smoothly and easily. Unfortunately, with the insanity of the summer of 2020, we ultimately had to cancel our reservation due to COVID19 exposure, which was a huge disappointment, but Tim and the Walters team was super understanding about it which made our lives way easier. We'll definitely go back to them the next time we're in the area.

Another year at Walters and it never disappoints. Weather was great, clear water, swimming all day, fishing was excellent, cozy cabin right on the waters edge. We saw deer, eagles, loon and a very busy muskrat during coffee talk each morning on the deck of cabin 3. This is a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy all the lake has to offer. We’ll be back next year!!! Thanks Tim and Deb!

With summer around the corner it's time to think of going back to the lake. Walter's Resort is the place to go!
We loved walking steps from our cabin to the lake. Our pontoon trip around Lake Ida was a chance to see wildlife up close. Gorgeous!
There were also boats to rent for fishing and skiing.
After bicycling on the nearby Heartland Trail it was great to come back to our "home away from home."
We can't wait to return!

I love coming here! We have a ton of fun every time we stay at Walters. The access is great. The cabins are right on the water and you can rent a boat and dock it right in front of the cabin. It’s fun to take the boats under the bridges into Big or Little Sand Lakes for the afternoon and come back to the relaxed atmosphere of Lake Ida for the evening.
