Ballet For All Kids

Bonnie Schlachte has worked extensively with children and adults with Developmental Disabilities in various settings for the past twenty years. Since 1992, Bonnie has developed and/or supervised over 50 programs from Behavioral based Day/Residential Programs to Quality Assurance/Staff Education Programs.

We are the only program in the country, perhaps the world, that teaches true classical ballet technique to all children, regardless of abilities or disabilities. Our doors are open to anyone who wants to dance; we are able to accommodate any student using The Schlachte Method. We are a fully integrated program that believes diversity and acceptance inherently promote personal growth and create compassionate communities.

Our annual holiday show is going digital. Dancers and musicians across the country teamed up to create a unique virtual Nutcracker showcase. The students had worked so hard and were so excited to perform this holiday tradition, so what were we to do when news sunk in that the theater was no longer an option.

Ballet For All Kids loves our volunteers! We have over a hundred wonderful volunteers that help our children in the classroom every week. You do not need to know how to dance or work with children with special needs - just be willing to learn and help. We also appreciate help outside of the classroom.
