City Scooters was brought to life in 2008 with the idea to provide low cost and reliable transportation like the micro mobility available in most European and Asian countries. Besides scooters and repairs we provide rentals, tours, storage, and fundraising events. We are organized to provide solutions to environmental and economic challenges while enjoying life!
Services
Our mechanics department, aside from repairing your bike, can provide modifications if you want to speed up your scooter. Install big bore kits from 49cc-100cc, and 150cc-200cc. Additionally we can also install accessories ranging from windshields, trunks, LED lighting, bigger tires, and stereos. Ultimately, whatever your imagination creates we will try to install it on your motor vehicles with certain limitations*.
Although we would love to ride our scooters 365 days a year, we know the winter roads are not the friendliest roads for our bikes. Therefore instead of letting your bike sit outside in the cold or take up your space; Have your bike stored at our shop for winter storage! Winter storage season starts in November and we keep your scooter safely stored until the warm spring weathers in March.
The Northside tour includes the famous Billy Goat Tavern and Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs. Along the way our wranglers will stop to answer questions and provide some local insight as you drive through vibrant and interesting neighborhoods including the Gold Coast, Lincoln Park and DePaul.

Worst place to take your scooter. They’ll charge you an arm and a leg to fix your moped. I’m serious. They’ll charge you motorcycle prices. Don’t bring your scooter here they’ll work on it, ruin it and then tell you they don’t even work on Honda’s. They wasted 2 months of my time. I was able to ride my scooter twice after getting it back the first time then it completely died on me only to find out it’s another $400 to repair it after paying $540 to repair it the first time. They’ll tell you they’re going to call you with a diagnosis and never call back. You have to be on them

How on earth is their average a 4.4? They have to be padding reviews posted by employees and friends. Every time I walk in there, they're fighting with someone. They fight with you over parts that they owe you as part of the new purchase deal. All they sell are GY6 scooters. Buy one online for 1/2 their price delivered to your door and be done with it. They're not going to stand behind their product anyway. BTW these things are ridiculously simple to work on, amazon sells almost every part.
And the parts are ridiculously Chinese and cheap. Buy them online. You need walk away for entering this

Guys working there are very friendly. However, the professionalism and commitment to quality needs work. I have a one year old scooter that I purchased there, about 100 miles on it. I brought it indoors for the winter and started it periodically. I haven't even had a chance to ride it this season, and now it won't start. A couple of weeks ago they told me to try to jump start and they would come get it for repair, for $85, if the jump didn't work; it didn't. When I called for the pick-up they said the price is now $150. The young lady on the phone got angry and loud when I asked

Worst buying experience ever. Worst customer service ever. Worst after sale service ever. I will never do business with this place ever again. I purchased a very expensive motorized bicycle, when I first bought it they tried to charge me title and licensing fees. Even though it did not have a title or need a license, and then it took them a month to sort it out?! The machine never ran properly, in fact it was late being delivered because they couldn't get it to run right and had to replace the carburetor before they dropped it off. Then it was back in their shop two times over the summer and finally

Seems legit. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Had a good selection of affordable bikes at good prices. Wouldn't make a trip out of it but if in the area definitely stop by, and considering it's hard to find a good deal on a used bike in the city, why not spend a couple extra hundred dollars and get a new bike. And save yourself a trip to the dmv/sos too.

Awesome place.
I told them it was my first scooter. Not only did Jeff help me pick out the machine perfect for me, he then led me into the back and Eric taught me how to ride it, and made sure I had everything down pat. Everyone here is very personable , and happy to get you on two wheels.
I highly recommend this place and will be doing business with them for a good long while.

If you have problems with passing the test for your motorcycle driver license you have to take class with Eric. He is amazing teacher. You will learn how to ride a motorcycle, you will have fun during the class, and you become very confident with motorcycle after the class. You will get huge support during road test from him. I am recommend City Scooters to everyone!!!!!!

City scooters is highly recommended if you're trying to get your M class license. Eric was definitely a great teacher and he would help build up your confidence to take the motorcycle road test at the DMV. He is very passionate at what he does and was always willing to go the extra mile to make the whole experience fun and enjoyable. To top it all off, the whole process of teaching/refreshing motorcycle riding and the DMV road test all took place in one day. It was a great experience working with them.

I bought a scooter with my mother-in-law 2 years ago from them and had a pleasant experience, which is why I'm shocked when I brought in my scooter for repairs it turned out to be a whole different story. The scooter is plastic which I get it's not meant to withstand any collision. I had the scooter only for a few months prior and only road it a few times. Mind you everything else was working fine only the body was damaged I barely hit the car. I finally called to see if they can pick it up and repair it and the call itself was a little strange. My boyfriend was going to be the one home

I posted a good review over my scooter purchase via google a while ago and now I am posting a review over services after a purchase.
It was horrible, unprofessional, unethical and wrongful with prices. See yourself. Pictures are posted. Seems to me that services are only good during time of purchase.
Norm called back and stated that my email was nasty, had an attitude and hung up the phone. My email was not nasty. Email is below. See yourself. City Scooters, do not get mad at customers for speaking up. Do not get mad at customers for calling out on the way things are charged. Chicago residents

I can't thank these guys enough! I'd been shopping around for a scooter, although I'd never really been on one! When I got to the shop they took the time to teach me how to operate the scooter, they set me up with everything i needed for the scooter. I was sold immediately! One stop shop for everything Scooter related! I purchased a wolf lucky scooter
I highly recommend City Scooter. Great service!

After my experience here I would not trust them to fix roller skates. I brought in a bike I bought for my son to have them get it running, after repairs cost is not important, their prices are fine. But they omitted Parts change the configuration without any notice to me whatsoever, and then try to tell me a story to cover it up. There's no trust here anymore the customer service at the beginning was great and at the end I felt like a piece of crap. I wouldn't recommend them to anybody and it's a shame I like neighborhood businesses.

I found out about this place while looking through reviews on Yelp, so after my experience I decided to add to the pile since it's well deserved. My first contact with them was by phone, regarding instruction for passing the M test at the DMV.
Eric is the one to speak with for the low down. after a few initial questions about my skill level, he was able to get a picture of what training I needed and if what he does will work for me. Turns out it was a match. I explained that I failed the test on my first go around. I further went on to explain I've driven my bike around the neighborhood

I worked with Eric to train, practice, and take the DMV motorcycle road test. Eric walked us through the test components and showed us how to perform the skills. We spent a little time practicing on the scooter, and then off to take the road test (with the same scooter). Everyone I practiced with passed, including myself. So yeah!

I am proud I had the opportunity to meet with Eric. Their services was really quick as for Eric the trainer very transparent started training me from scratch & with less than an hour he taught me all the basics & regulations that I need to know as a result of Eric's excellent training I passed from first time....Eric I wish you for more & more success as you serve all what's best in life as you are an excellent trainer...

Loved this place! My friend and I rented scooters for the weekend, aside from a great deal in price the place was so professional and personable. Eric accommodated to come in on a day they were closed for us to return our scooter. Checked in with us to make sure all was well. This was a great experience and I would highly recommend them.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
I recently had my scooter "repaired" here and was not satisfied with the quality of work done. The same day I picked up my scooter, the mirror they replaced and "installed" fell off. The price for parts and labor was wholly inappropriate for the quality of work done. The mirrors themselves were of a poor quality and their "repair" was basically a band-aid. This particular "repair" was listed on my invoice as costing almost $150 for parts and labor. The mirrors themselves couldn't have been more than $10 and I could've used

Went to a shop to get a chain link removed. My chain was a little saggy and my adjusters wouldn't do anything more for me. The shop i stopped in at didn't even have a tool for chains, said they only had belt driven scooters.
So i rode a few extra miles out to city scooters. They took my bike in back and fixed me up easy. When i tried to pay them they refused. I didn't even buy my bike there and they have been the most help to me keeping it going smooth and fast. ****** I'd give them six stars if i could.

Just Bad Business!!!!
This is my first review but not my last. Yay for me!
The guy told me over the phone that they service Roketa scooters and I brought it all the way there to be flatly refused any kind of help. It has problems starting and thank God I was lucky enough to get it started to drive it back home. You have a repair shop and you pick and choose what you service or not? What kind of business is this?
I can understand if they don't want to repair it but not to even look at what's causing the issue is another thing. I believe they should rethink their business model and
