Dr. Mark Chin of the Valley Institute of Plastic Surgery was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. Appreciating and enjoying California's cultural diversity, Dr. Chin stuck close to his roots when he established his medical practice. He began the Valley Institute of Plastic Surgery in Fresno, California, in 1993, to provide access for both Southern and Northern California patients.
Mark A. Chin, MD, MPH has been striving all his life to improve public health. His personal mission has been to understand and improve the quality of life for all individuals who suffer from the effects of obesity, massive weight loss, breast cancer, aging, pregnancy, and more. His desire to help others has led him to go on several charitable missions to Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar in addition to Guatemala and Chile.

So knowledgeable and honest which is so helpful to be as educated as possible when wanting procedures done correctly. Dr. Chin does not hide risks and very thorough in his consultations. Rarely to do you actually get to meet the surgeons performing while at a consult. Well worth getting Dr. Chin’s insight.

I had rhinoplasty/septoplasty and I'm absolutely happy with the results. Every step of the procedure was great; the consultation, operation and post-op appointments. The care I received from Dr. Chin and the nurses before the operation helped to settle any nerves I had before the procedure and the physician assistant was so caring and capable for my post op appointments. The front office staff and surgery coordinator (Diane) were terrific as well, They were always prompt with answers to all my questions.

Dr. Chin is an amazing, outstanding, and very talented plastic surgeon. He is very honest when it comes to getting plastic surgery he tells you what you can expect and tells you if he can or cannot do your surgery and if you’re the right candidate or not he does not give you the run around. He is very meticulous and I like that because there are not many plastic surgeons like that around. He makes you feel very comfortable at ease and not feel rushed and he takes his time during your consult to go over all of your concerns. Even right before your surgery Dr. Chin goes over everything he’s doing

I knew from the moment I met Dr.Chin that if anyone was going to operate on me, it would be him. Dr. Chin and his staff made me feel so comfortable and relaxed through the entire process. I cannot begin to express how happy I am with the results of my rhinoplasty. It is still me only better! The process I stressed about for years, was so easy! I would chose to do it all over again if I had to.Thank you Dr. Chin for erasing a decade of insecurity and self consciousness I am truly grateful.
