Our facility has nine-units equipped with a 108-psychiatric inpatient bed that offers acute mental health stabilization, detox, and co-occurring treatment. South Sound Behavioral Hospital aims to serve those in need of behavioral health intervention to reclaim control of their lives.

At South Sound Behavioral Hospital, our goal is to provide the highest level of professional care for our patients. The Adult Mental Health Program aims to provide patients with an environment that welcomes them and allows them to heal. These are all mental illnesses that can TEMPORARILY interrupt your daily life.
Our Adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a secure, inpatient area reserved for patients experiencing psychiatric distress. This program has been designed to treat patients who are suffering from a mental health crisis including symptoms such as:. Crisis intervention and stabilization services are administered in a highly-monitored environment by specially trained nurses, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Physicians Assistants and Psychiatrists.

This place doesn't help me at all. If it did, I would not have needed repeat visits. Its pretty ineffective when I would see a different doctor every day. Most did not speak English clearly. Then, when I attempted to get my medication after discharge, I had lots of difficulty because they were not prescribed by my regular prescriber. After discharge, I needed two months of meds to fill the gap until I could get back to my regular doctor. The meds upon discharge were only for 30 days. I also had a "provider" who entered the consult room and started speaking to me about makeup and skincare. She said

Um I went into the class head first bot knowing what to expect. My teach was great my classmates were additional geniuss and I pretty much enjoyed the three day a week course. I learned a hell of alot in IOP intensive outpatient and I'm really glad I took the course. I still need to go over my paperwork and review the coursework one more time.

Just completed an alcohol detox at this facility and had a very positive experience. Dr Manuel was my primary provider there and he went above and beyond in helping set me up on a plan for success.
All of the nurses, social workers and healthcare professionals that worked with me were compassionate, kind and encouraging.
A note to others: these sort of programs are really the sort of thing that you get out what you put in. I was amazed at the number of patients who wouldn’t show up to group therapy sessions. Others were rude, whiny and demanding towards the healthcare workers.

I had a family member admitted and they treated him very poorly. Dr manual what ever the hell had all the wrong Information about him. They also tried tapering him off the only medication that helped him. They also lost his laundry and he was stuck in the same clothes for several days. They didn’t even provide him clean under garments since his were lost. They let him sit and suffer through withdraws, which is extremely dangerous. If I could give this place 0 stars I would.

I found South Sound from a friend referral. And I am so happy that I did! I have a close family member that needed the help. She was struggling with Alcohol addiction, trauma, and PTSD. She reached out to me and we took her to South Sound. She got the DETOX help that might of saved her life. She was spiraling out of control with her alcohol binging. She was checked in right away with no issues and had an assessment. They provided my friend with all of the essentials needed. They made her feel at home. She got through her detox with no issues. And before she completed her detox at the facility.

It is 7:24 PM and I'm still waiting for my 5:00 PM assessment appointment to start. I've completed my paperwork and it was taken to the back by an employee over an hour ago. I've not had any communication as to why there has been this wait /delay. I'm not expecting great things from this facility. Hopefully the clinical side /back office is ran better than the front,

Very poorly run facility. If I could give zero stars, I would. Some of the staff are ok but mostly unqualified and understaffed.
They consistently dosed medications incorrectly or provided the wrong medications to patients. And did not bridge my medication to get me to my outside care provider.
You will not get to see a medical doctor or psychiatrist and therapist like they layout in their handbook. And my doctor dismissed my concerns about medication side effects I was experiencing.

A relative of mine voluntarily admitted herself at South Sound Behavioral Hospital. While there, she was not given access to clean underwear for several days. The staff lost her $1300.00 iphone and as of yet have not reimbursed her for the loss. She's made several requests and contacted multiple staff members and patient advocates over the last week...no response. It would seem that her only option may be to take legal action. At this point, my suggestion would be to stay away from South Sound Behavioral Hospital based on her on going frustration with the lack of action to resolve her loss...the

Absolutely horrible communication. My 13 year old daughter was sent here and several days later I still heard nothing from them. I had called and left voicemails with no response. I had to call multiple times and demand to speak to someone immediately before finally getting ahold of someone who said they would call me back in an hour after getting an ROI signed from her. Three hours and zero phone calls later, I had to call them multiple times again and yell and threaten to call lawyers, after which my daughter called me almost immediately.
