Today was my first time going back to a dentist in nearly 15yrs, to say I was scared and nervous is an understatement. I grew up in a Dental family as my mom is a Dentist so I understand the importance of going but I just neglected and the years just flew by. I changed over to this dental office a few years back on the recommendation of a friend. This office had only been providing me with teeth cleanings and my 6 month visit checkups. These visits have always been very professional with a friendly staff. Today I had to have two fillings redone, that had been done at a different dental practice about five years ago. Dr. Garelick is awesome! He fixed up an issue a was having with my fillings and food getting trapped in a jiffy! He also made great recommendations for anti-snore appliances and such, since I was developing a TMJ issue from a mouth anti-snore appliance.
He could have made a lot more money on me by recommending we re-do this and that, yet he just fixed my teeth using a conservative yet viable approach. A+++

Dr. Garelick is the only dentist I've found in Arizona that was an honest dentist you could trust! Other places that I went to they wanted to do unnecessary crowns or other work to raise my bill, work that was not needed. I had given up on finding a dentist that was like a down home family type place until I found this office! Wow, I can't say enough about how awesome the staff is. I now drive from Scottsdale to continue to go to this office after moving. It's worth the drive to have a dentist that I can trust. FIRST CLASS SERVICE!!! I went in for a treatment plan and to get started on treatment. The front desk staff are amazing and friendly. The techs are efficient and effective. Dr.Garelick was relatable and friendly. I actually enjoyed being there and was confident in the service I would be getting. Didn't get any treatment today though. That's another story.

I've been going to Ocotillo Dental Care for a few years and have always been satisfied. I don't hate going to the dentist anymore. I find the hygienist Brenda and Dr. Garelick very gentle and friendly. I have never felt pressured to have any dental procedures that I didn't need. I bought the in house dental plan which has been great for cleanings and x-rays.

The first time I went to this office was to have a crown made for a tooth that had cracked in half. I was so impressed with how well the whole procedure went and especially how the new crown fit. (The temporary was fantastic). Today was my first cleaning and regular exam by the dentist. I couldn't believe how thorough the cleaning was - made me wonder what the hygienist at my previous dentist was doing the last 18 years! The receptionist in this office only knows how to work with non-federal insurance companies apparently. First visit, I waited in the chair for over 25 mins while she checked with insur. (This has never happened to me before). In Jan 2019, our insurance had changed, and she wouldn't place a call and speak with a rep to understand our new coverage. She can't think or work outside the box. Very unprofessional and NOT helpful at all, although she appears friendly. When I questioned her directly if she was going to call the insurance company... There are those who practice dentistry and then there are those who teach dentists to practice dentistry. Dr. Garelick is a cut above most of the dental providers out there. Instead of recommending the most expensive treatments, he sits down with you and discusses your goals and pocketbook abilities! The office staff creates a warm and inviting environment and the dental hygienists are also exemplary and take their time with each patient, making you feel as if you are the only patient they have that day. I've been apprehensive to go to a dentist since my last one in another state was a money pit with shoddy work, but this team put my fears at ease. The front desk staff was beyond helpful when it came to billing and insurance. My hygienist Anna was a breath of fresh air in my history of dental exams. She was extremely fast, very knowledgable, and has great people skills. Dr. Garelick was so patient and great at explaining what his recommendations were and more importantly the why behind them. I would recommend this practice to everyone!

From the front desk to the Doctor himself, it is evident that everyone here takes pride in their jobs and enjoys being here and it translates into a better dental experience. There are nice extras, like watching movies while they work on you, the text reminding of your appointments, etc. But really, it comes down to the fact that Doctor Garelick is very good at what he does.

We have been going to Dr Garelick since he first opened down here in the late 90s. His was the first dental practice in the Ocotillo area. He has always been professional, helpful and caring. His staff is awesome! The office is very pleasant as a place to be when you're at the dentist. My son started coming here as well and loves the hygienists and the movies. This is a great practice. Do yourself a favor and take your family here, you won't be disappointed.
