Today, as we continue to highlight the builders nominated for the Home Builders Association of Greater Grand Rapids Awards of Excellence, we have three brothers with us, from Whitmore Custom Homes, Ryan, Brett and Nathan. We are very pleased with the quality of our newly built custom home by Whitmore. Their attention to detail and attentiveness to the needs of the customer is second to none. During the process of evaluating home builders, after I met Nate and Ryan, I knew that I didn't need to look any further! Once we decided to build, all my husband and I heard were comments about how difficult and stressful building can be. However, that was not our experience with Whitmore Homes! From the beginning Nate Whitmore was excellent at keeping the lines of communication open. All of our questions and concerns were readily answered throughout the project and even upon completion. We were very pleased to work with all of Whitmore's sub contractors, particularly their designer. She was great at understanding what we wanted and offering up suggestions within our budget. Whitmore helped us build a quality home

This is our 3rd home we have built, and we have heard many horror stories of building a new home. We have fortunately never had any of those experiences. We were reluctant to go with Whitmore, because the three "boys" seemed so young. We really wanted to go with the builder that built our last home, but schedules did not permit. After meeting with Nate on multiple occasions we were confident they would be fair, be honest and build a quality home. Our final assessment of Whitmore Custom Homes was spot on. Working with Whitmore Homes was an excellent experience from start to finish. They were very involved from the beginning, starting with our purchase of a lot that we thought may pose some building challenges. The Whitmore Homes team reassured us that we had nothing to worry about as the lot would be no problem at all. I enjoyed working with Whitmore Homes. Easy to work with, detail oriented and prompt to reply to questions I had during the build. The end result is a quality built home that I plan to enjoy for a very long time.
I met with three different builders and had each quote building my home. Whitmore presented a comprehensive quote and I felt confident they would end the build within budget without going into the contingency budget. They were spot on with their budget estimations.
