IFCU has been very easy to work with and as a newer member I have been approved with much better interest rates and higher credit limits than the other credit union that I have been with for over 6 years. Unfortunately, some credit unions get too big and start operating like banks, which is why I decided to look for a new credit union that still put their members first.

All of My experiences have been Great Experiences with this credit union. My tenure as a member is close to a decade, yet the professionalism, competency, and eagerness to help me in any situation has been heartfelt. From the top managers positions to the staff in each different department.
I've always received top tier quality help, or answers to my many questions. I saw a YouTube video about IFCU from "Credit Plug" and decided to give it a try. Keisha signed me up and was very courteous, knowledgeable, professional and knew about the products and services. All paperwork was handled professionally and sent to me on "Docu-sign" for electronic signature. Good customer service, high CC limits, etc. It is worth joining and becoming a member.

I have had an account with IFCU for about 4 years. They do some things really well and are abysmal at others. They have a well functioning app. They alerted me immediately when my ATM card was hacked. Their follow through is very poor. Promises of following up and returning calls just doesn't happen. Overall things had gone pretty well until my experiences with CD Renewal. They did not alert me about auto renewal date though it is their policy to do so and I was charged an early withdrawal fee. Yes, I should have been able to keep track of it. I called on day 13 which is 3 days past

I totally agree with the other users who have given the Interior Federal Credit Union poor reviews. I applied for a personal loan and submitted all the necessary information. I received one telephone call from them from a lady who asked some questions and she said they would continue processing the application. That was a month ago and nothing Forget about trying to get them on the phone. You will wait forever. And forget about Chat. it's not monitored.

Also, don't waste your time trying to enter their 12 Days of Joy contest. The business manager for that program mismanaged the contest

As others have posted, DOIFCU was unable to accomplish a simple task - in my case, reset my online password. Each of the 4 calls I made was answered with "We'll have someone call you back who can help", and refused to transfer me to someone who knew what to do. The answering service agents I talked to apparently do not work directly for the bank, and so are unable to take care of this common and trivial problem. I wish I would of seen these reviews before I opened an account with them. The absolute worst customer service. When I opened the account the manager swore their credit cards never get compromised. A strange statement but I thought great. Well not a month later someone in Tiwan hit almost all their accounts so they canceled my card. Sent an email stating they would be sending out new cars immediately. A month later still no card. I call customer service was literally interrogated about my account all I wanted to know was if the new card had been sent. I couldn't answer one question so she

Worst bank I've ever had the displeasure of banking with. Incompetent customer service, extremely inconvenient. They've blocked my card on multiple occasions for no reason, leaving me stranded overnight at a gas station once. Never, ever bank here!

Place is an absolute joke don't waste your time. The 1800 number seriously makes me want to just scream and yell over the phone. They are no help and put you on hold for 30mins plus. I would never recommend this kinda service on my worst enemy's. They were not helpful. They did not even seem like they wanted to help me. I am/was a furloughed federal employee who applied for the 0% interest loan to hold me over through February. They were no help. I applied, was approved pending final review. Waited and waited for a call that never came. I called 3 days later and was told it was still in reviewing but I need to open an account. so I did. Heard nothing. called after MLK day said still pending. someone will call. still nothing. called back and spoke with a manager who said do ABC and call back for final review. Many better options exist so there is little excuse for their non-functioning website and dearth of benefits. If all you want to do is park your money somewhere and forget about it, this CU might be fine, but if you ever need to use bill pay or even transfer funds periodically, be prepared for issues requiring a call into their member services (during their business hours only, their after-hours call center is a bad joke).

I've been a member for about 5 years, never had a problem. I had a vacation loan that I have since paid back which was quick and easy to pay back. Recently went in for a transaction and was treated very well by George Dawson, I felt like a valued customer.

Let me just say in a nutshell, this bank has the most horrible customer service from calling the main line number for basic information to applying for a loan. The loan department (Karen and GiGi - the worst please beware) at the Reston branch are the most rude, unprofessional and worthless in seeking options on any level to help you. The turnaround for any response (either phone call, email or even trying to meet in person) is absolutely unacceptable. Just to start out, I wish I would of read these reviews before I started an account with them. From the very get go, this credit union was creating doubt in my mind. I started out with a representative named Kiesha Hardge and proceeded to set things up. She informed me that a credit check will be done and I specifically asked her if it was going to be a soft inquiry and she said yes, the credit union performs a soft inquiry to determine eligibility. This is quite literally the worst institution I have done business with. I signed up because they had a competitive credit card rate, and to get the card I had to open an account. Fair enough. However, when I wanted to check a balance on the card and called the number on the back of the card, I was connected to a skeezy vacation cruise vendor! I tried the online number, but the number listed for credit cards ONLY goes to a cancellation service. Then I tried the main phone number. Those folks are an off-site call center and could answer only the absolute most basic questions--could not process
